Since living in the Dominican Republic, I've discovered that breakfast is not a big deal to the Dominicans, usually consisting of coffee and maybe some milk bread. For North Americans, breakfast is a bit more. The restaurants here in Las Terrenas try to accommodate us tourists and Expats with a breakfast "Americano.". This usually consists of some fried or scrambled eggs and a piece of dry toast.
Thank you, Barrio Latino, for stepping up to the plate and offering a real breakfast. Their Breakfast combos, or "formulas," are excellent. They include the hot drink, juice, and main course. They bring bread with butter AND JAM! Something I've never seen down here! Their food was flavorful, the service excellent. Good job, Barrio Latino!

A local staple in Las Terrenas! French owner. Great wait staff and absolutely great food. Even if you just want an American burger, it will arrive split on a long French baguette and be perfectly cooked. Everything on the menu is good. Eat across the street and you will have ambiance on the beach. But if you want great food at a great price, this is the place. Why so many expats and locals are here.

Cool place. The club sandwich with fries I ordered was simple but delicious. The entrees I saw on other tables looked really good too. Service was good and friendly and there's a nice chill vibe. A place I'll come back to.

Excellent food and service. We had a blast and enjoyed our time there. Everything we ordered was delicious, our PinaColadas had the best presentation ever.... we will come back for sure.

My husband and I both had a delicious fish dish there. Prices were ok for a touristic area and the staff was friendly too.

One of the very few French owned restaurants that should be visited by Americans. Other French owned restaurants are either openly hostile, deceptive or violent and should be avoided by Americans at all times. Typically these are the French owned restaurants NOT listed on Google Maps.

This is a the cross roads of the village. Great breakfast and best croissants in town.
