Restaurant Tresor

After a nice hike to the falls, we visited this quaint local restaurant. The atmosphere was exactly what we wanted. Locals sitting enjoying their local beer enjoying their Saturday. We ordered a a variety of foods and all were delicious. I requested our server what her favorite food was and she referred me to beef cheek dish with a local sauce and potatoes. Absolutely delicious. We will add this to our spot when we visit again.

This was the first place we stopped at for dinner. Lovely place to dine, friendly, brisk service and food is very tasty. Because it’s beside the Main Street, noises from passing vehicles might be a slight bother but overall not a huge issue.

They have amazing and tasty local food. I got to taste beef tongue and tripe. My husband enjoyed the less exotic but nonetheless traditional bratwurst and potatoes too.

The service was friendly and helpful, and the place had great atmosphere and character.

Just got done driving from Paris, and I could not ask for better food! The wife and I got pork in two different ways, fried for me and roasted for her, and we could not be happier with what we got! And the egg noodles were downright amazing! There menu is full of options, in multiple languages to include English, and even marks down what is made of to cover at least 10 different allergies! Make sure you come with cash, they don’t accept credit cards. And I am glad they don’t, I love the feel of this restaurant! Lastly, the staff is nothing but helpful. Just a wonderful experience all the way around.

Delicious food and variety, kind service, very welcoming and engaging with our young children. Nice outdoor sitting, reasonable prices.

We ordered pork with egg noodles and red wine stewed beef. One more artichoke salad. This is my first time to eat artichoke and it tasted like bamboo shoot. Quite good. The salad is so good all the ingredients are so fresh and you can taste the food itself. The beef and pork also delicious with the perfect sauce. I think this is the best meal in my schwarzward trip.

Extremely nice restaurant downtown Triberg. After having wandered around for three evenings in search of a nice German restaurant, we finally found Tresor. It is very characteristic and peculiar. It is built into the old cellar which was used by Deutsche Bank as a safety depot. In fact, the doors and the windows still have the armored shutters. The food is also quite good together with a good selection of beers. Prices are fair and the staff is very welcoming. Make sure you book a table because it is quite easy for this place to be fully booked. Also note that no credit card is accepted. Absolutely worth a visit.

A lovely little hidden gem! My bf and I ordered pasta dishes and a cow tongue pastry. I got the spaghetti aromanesco, a delicious dish with minced lamb meat. Nothing like I've ever tasted before and it was exceptional! The cow tongue pastry was quite good too. My boyfriend loved his dish, but I can't remember what it was called. The dessert was outstanding as well! I ordered the apple ice cream with cherry sauce and it is the best dessert I've had! Absolutely delicious!

Recommend the breaded pork escalope (fillet style) with egg noodles! Coffee is nice too. Kind owner offered us plastic bags to store our wet raincoats.

Food was really good and traditional.
The service was really slow and was a bit unpleasant but overall we had a great time. They also don’t accept credit cards or Apple Pay which was not convenient and we had to look for an ATM which is located nearby. Overall unique place and we had good time.
