Ketterer am Kurgarten

This was our first stop in our Germany/Austria road trip. The room was very nice with a comfortable bed and separate seating area. The windows fully opened to a gorgeous view over town. With the windows open you could hear the birds singing and the river flowing close by. Very close to downtown, walkable to many shops and a trail to the waterfall is right outside the door (up the steps across the street). We enjoyed a buffet style breakfast in the morning with many excellent food and drink options. We will stay here again on our next trip.

I took a star off for service because the owner was rude to us, but only one because this is a family establishment and she was being protective. (She wouldn't let us in 5 minutes before opening in the pouring rain). Easily overlooked with the most incredible view overlooking all of Triberg, nestled in the hills. The Black Forest cake had an amazing frosting I'll never forget. No problems with the room at all and we really enjoyed our stay

Very, very clean family-owned hotel, with nice restaurant and great location close to the waterfalls. Your stay allows you to visit the museum and the waterfalls for a reduced rate. The rooms are comfortable and offer great views. Bear in mind that they are only reachable by stairs.

Room was very clean, comfortable and well designed for a family of four. Service was a tad iffy as we arrived on a Monday (which wasn’t their fault as was their off day) however all requests was attended to via their app briskly. We had dinner in the lovely garden, food was excellent and it was an enjoyable stay overall with the complimentary waterfall and museum passes.

Did not stay in the hotel, but enjoyed a very nice lunch. Light, fresh and tasty, with a very tasty whitewine sauce. I had the fish, but they also have two vegan dishes on the menu. Friendly service and a somewhat nice view complete the picture. My only advice for them would be that if they feel that they pay too much tax, maybe an idea to stop paying the kirchesteuer/church tax..(see menu)

Great location near city tourism and plenty of parking options. Very clean rooms at an inexpensive rate and fantastic restaurant. Breakfast and lunch were excellent quality, freshness, and price.

After several disappointments with the previous hotels, I am very happy to be in this hotel. The room is very clean and the toilet was sanitized. The Mountain View is amazing and there is a nook in the room where you can sit comfortably and look at the view. The older lady mentioned in the previous comments must be part of the Ketterer family. She seems strict but she’s actually quite nice and remembers our faces and what we’d like to order from the restaurant. Also I believe that she has a high standard which maintains cleanliness and quality to the place (restaurant and hotel room). I like this much more so I feel comfortable with the corona situation. I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for quality and comfort.

We found Hotel Ketterer to be a great place to stay. We arrived too early to check in, but the staff held our luggage and ensured we obtained our Guest card to facilitate our visit to the waterfalls and museum. The room was in an adjacent building and was great, as well as a great value. As the world emerges from COVID, it is certainly good to see family businesses like this continue. Oh, and the deserts are delicious!

The room has an amazing view! We sat there for so long just chilling and enjoying the view. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. The location is great too!! Few mins walk to the waterfall. Includes free tix to the waterfall which is only a few mins walk away!

We stopped in just to have some coffee and dessert. We were passing through town and stopped to go to the falls, but decided to come here first. The drinks were great, and so was the cake. They had 2 kinds of black forest cake, one looked like what we expected, the other they called "traditional". We all agreed that we loved the traditional more. Service was a little slow, but they were friendly. They had these little chocolates shaped like people with a euro coin stuck on its behind. We were so curious so we asked about it. The lady at the counter just said "Because it's funny!" And giggled. So then we laughed and went on our way.

Good service and friendly staff. Decent restaurant. Free pass to waterfall and other attraction in Triburg. We lost this pass during our stay and casually informed the reception in the evening, next day morning they arranged new passes for all of us for free.

The best place for the authentic German food and black forest cake. Cool atmosphere. Those who can't climb steep hill to see tje beauty of triberger water falls from this hotel it is just 6 minutes walk to enjoy the glory. Food bit pricey but worth it

We stayed here on our visit to Triberg Wasserfall and they have amazing rooms with great view. Also the bed was spacious enough and the bathrooms were clean. Definitely recommend this place for stay

We stayed here for a weekend. Great place. Staff was very friendly and they made me a black forest cake before leaving.

The room and bathroomvwere very clean and hospitable. The staff at the front desk were very nice and spoke english. The hotel was very conveniently located as well.

Service was fantastic and the staff was very patient with us even though there was a language barrier. We got the mountain view room and it was an amazing sight to wake up to in the morning!
