greatest currywurts ever! amasing service, was able to have a laugh with the server. also he was very understanding of my medicore german skills. will definitely try again!

This isn't a place I would crave weekly if I lived in Berlin, but I think it is a must visit on any trip to Berlin.

Why does the world eat hot dogs in a horizontal bun with condiments smearing all over your hands and the sausage escaping from the bun as you eat? Berliners solved this problem years ago with the Ketwurst, a long roll is pierced by a hot cylinder to create a perfect sized hole for the hot dog which is dipped in ketchup and then placed in the hole. This way it can easily be eaten while walking as the end of the dog is held in place by the closed end of the roll and the sauce is contained inside. On top of that the inside of the roll is toasted! Hot dogs should not be eaten any other way. This is one of the first ketwurst stands and it is a great treat to enjoy while walking around the wonderful neighborhood.

All time favorite! Ketwurst is an authentic DDR snack and Alain has such a long history already, it's a must-try! I don't know any place in Berlin that serves Ketwurst like this anymore. Most of the places just sell you a Hot Dog and call it Ketwurst but trust me - it's not the same. I was already here as a child and I still love it as much as 20 years ago when I had my first Ketwurst here.

One of East-Berlin's fast food secrets. The only place in all of Germany with a proper GDR style Kettwurst (communist hotdog so to say). Much better and tastier than all the overrated famous currywurst places. This one is different.

Prefect Kettwurst and lovely staff! This is the original Kettwurt in an Imbiss street-food stand that has stood the test of time. The staff are very friendly and they even offer vegetarian and vegan versions of both Kettwurst and Currywurst!

totally underrated!! and why so few reviews?? this place is a classic and a must try. i have a kettwurst every time im close to schönhauser.

Einfach eine Altberliner Institution. Esse dort immer sehr gerne die kettwurst. Heute hatte ich mich dann spontan mal für das Gulasch entscheiden wollte es mal ausprobieren. Das war dann auch der Grund wieso ich jetzt eine Bewertung schreibe. Das war quasi der Tropfen der das Fass zum überlaufen bringt. Leckerstes Gulasch meines Lebens und das auch noch zu fairem Preis. Empfehlung an jeder Mann

Beste Ketwurst der ganzen Stadt. Wurst schön würzig, Brot frisch und die Sauce auch mega.
Preis Leistungsverhältnis mehr als in Ordnung. Bedienung war schnell und freundlich.
Wer wie früher mal gerne zu einer "Bude" und nicht in ein weiteres "Schnellrestaurant" möchte ist da genau richtig.

Ich komme auf jeden Fall wieder ( bestimmt öfters)!

So lecker!! Beste vegetarische und normale Kettwurst!!! Nur die Pommes sind nicht die allerbesten, aber der Rest das beste was ich je gegessen habe 10/10 ! :)

Besser kann ein Berliner Imbiss in Gesundbrunnen nicht sein. Bio Currywurst und Pommes mit dünner Schale geschnitten.

Ich hole mir hier schon seit vielen Jahren gern die gute alte Ketwurst, die ich sehr empfehlen kann.

Aber heute war ich bei Alain Snack, um die Currywurst mit Pommes zu probieren. Mit Ketchup und Mayo habe ich 5,30 € bezahlt.

Die Currywurst wird hier ohne Darm serviert und ist sehr lecker. Die Pommes sind wirklich ausgezeichnet frittiert: außen knusprig, innen luftig. Auch das Currypulver finde ich super. Auf dem Foto ist es nicht gut zu sehen, aber unter den Pommes liegt noch Currywurst, sodass für mich auch das Verhältnis zwischen Pommes und Currywurst stimmt.

Mein einziger Kritikpunkt: das Plastikgäbelchen - muss doch wirklich nicht sein.

Ansonsten: bis jetzt war dies die leckerste Currywurst, die ich verspeist habe!

Wunderbar leckeres Essen, besonders die Ketti und der Gulasch. Außerdem ist die junge Mitarbeiterin eine waschechte Berlinerin, super sympathisch ;)
