Amazing place, we went here during festival of lights when many monuments of Berlin gets illuminated. It looked amazing, we went in the night so it was not that crowded. I would say it's a must visit place if you want to enjoy Festival of lights in Berlin. This is the second time I visited this would definitely go again next year as well

Bebel Platz is a great area in Berlin to visit. This time of year and during December 2023 there was a Christmas Market.

Located in the center of Bebel Platz is the memorial to the 1933 Book Burning. One must look down to view the memorial. The memorial featuring empty shelves is a stark reminder of what happens when people are blindly led down a path.

So the Christmas Market Gendenmarkt is taking place here, with a 2 euro ticket on weekend. This Christmas is infront of Hotel der Rome.
They serve Gluhwien, Bratwurst, roasted dry fruits, sugar coated candies.

Beautiful plaza where the Nationalist Party staged a burning of books to leave behind the jewish authors and their ideas.

Underneath the plaza is a monument you can see with a window on the floor where empty library shelves are shown yo symbolize the books burned.

Christmas market is amazingly beautiful😍 Good food options - Waffles, Langos, Hot chocolate etc.. It has an entry ticket of 2€

Very beautiful place next to the Humbolt University.
Christmas Market was very special and clean.

Beautiful Christmas market with amazing surroundings.
€2 entrance fee but definitely worth it just for the decorations.

It is surreal in lights. This square is somewhat at midway between Brandenburger Gate and Berlin TV tower. This entire stretch of 2 to 3 Kms glows in light during Berlin light festival. And, many artist does street performance that adds more vibe and lively atmosphere.

I think it is the only Christmas market that you have to pay entry for, but it was worth the 2 euros. Had lunch in one of the restaurants which was very good. The market itself was full of the usual stalls and we bought some tree decorations

I've been wanting to go for a long time. I liked it very much. There are many places to visit around it.

It was a great experience watching these historic buildings and the museums in Berlin.

It was a warm autumn day and the Light Festival was taking place in Berlin, so there were a lot of people there.

Wonderful Christmas Markets, highly recommend to visit during this freezing stive season. Entry fee 2eur.

Christmas market was directly outside.. light show on the front of the building was brilliant.

The building now is a Law University. This place commands a moment of reflection on its history and its future.

It is located near the famous berlin gate. It is an awesome place where you can find different stuffs for souvenirs, taste different German foods and, explore more city attractions just near this place.

Such an amazing place, with beautiful architecture.
Well connected area, you can easily get there by bus or train.
It is practically the Centre of the city.
There are many other amazing monuments within walking distance.
A must visit area.
