Philipp-Schaeffer-Bibliothek

I enjoy every stay here. It's quite, relaxing and the perfect atmosphere for studying or just hanging out.

The Philipp-Schaeffer Bibliothek is typically teeming with activity on a daily basis! Scholars and academics of all ages frequent this library for a multitude of reasons. First and foremost, there are desks that overlook the backyard green-space and garden, which makes for an excellent study and / or work space.

Additionally, the high vaulted ceilings and large windows on the second floor allow for an abundance of sunlight to enter weather permitting. And last but certainly not least, the Bibliothek staff members are all incredibly professional and courteous.

A staunch 4.8 / 5 stars.

Awesome library: great choice of books and media (mostly in German, but lots of other languages too), well-functioning system, friendly employees. Good both for kids and adults - can spend hours here 😅

Great place to work and study - quiet within a modern environment. Toilets are very small, but otherwise everything about this place is what you want and need from a bibliothek

This library isn't so well known but it is one of my favourites in the city. The architecture alone deserves the visit, but it is a perfect place for study, reading or writing reviews.

My son loves to be here. There is a great choice of books, and very comfy yard for relax and reading

I was quite surprised when I first came, because of the size and of the architecture. There is lots of space which is not immediately visible from outside. Comfortable place to study.

They have a huge collection of films, and the children floor is really comfy. Upstairs they have some places to study with nice views of the near buildings

Friendly and helpful to residence who did not speak German very well. It is a good place for children to spend a few hours indulging in their reading.

Really nice building inside, service to find what I needed was great (especially considering I didn't really spend money there)

Tons of movies!

Это отличное место чтобы провести время с детьми в дождливый день, и просто хорошая семейная традиция. Для детей выделен весь нижний этаж, где книги разделены по зонам в зависимости от возраста детей (указателей нет). Есть много мест где можно уединенно полистать книги, и даже в субботу там было очень комфортно.
Есть отдел для малышей с картонными книгами, комиксы, настольные игры и даже возможность поиграть в Playstation.

Tolle Bibliothek. Gute Auswahl, schöne Räume. Ich leihe hier viele Bücher, Noten, Brettspiele, Comics und sogar Geräte aus der Bibliothek der Dinge (E-Reader, Werkzeug, Strommessgerät, ...) und das seit mehr als 20 Jahren.

Das online Angebot des VÖBB ist sowieso unschlagbar gut für Bücher, Magazine, Zeitungen, Noten etc.

Für mich ist das Konzept Bibliothek das utopischste, was es heute gibt.

Schöne Räume, Niedriegschwelliger Internetzugang mit Druckern, liebe MitarbeiterInnen!

Sehr schöne Bibliothek. Leider benehmen sich einige Nutzer dort wie Ureinwohner.Hut ab,vor dem Reinigungspersonal!

So eine tolle Bibliothek!! Sehr nette, hilfsbereite Mitarbeitende und eine riesige Auswahl an Büchern (mit vielen Neuerscheinungen/ aktuellen Auflagen in sehr gutem Zustand) zur Bildung und Unterhaltung, ein fantastisches Musik- und Filmangebot sowie einige Arbeitsplätze und Bereiche zum Spielen und Entspannen. Im Gegensatz zu mir bekannten Bibliotheken in anderen Städten ein wirklich angenehmer, belebter Ort für jedes Alter und alle sozialen Gruppen. Vielen Dank für diese moderne, nutzer*innenfreundliche Institution!!
