Freiluftkino Kreuzberg im Kunstquartier Bethanien

This was one of the coolest things we did in Berlin on a 3 day trip. The projector is situated on an enclosed lawn of a historic building. It makes for quite a nice vibe as the sun goes down the lawn chairs are arranged. The snacks are very affordable and I enjoyed the pretzel quite a bit. Lawn chairs and blankets are free with your ticket but make sure to come on time to get a good spot!

One of the best open air cinemas in Berlin. If you come early you can grab one of the comfy beach chairs and pick a spot thats free. Alternatively they've setup plastic gardenchairs in the back. Near the bathroom are blankets and a cushion you can take for free to be cozy and comfortable. The lights and church in the background add a wonderful atmosphere. They also have a small bar setup for drinks and popcorn. Highly recommend.

Great selection of films and very nice audio and visual quality. Plenty of seating too. They have seat cushions as well as blankets, ash trays, etc. They are very friendly and accommodating. Tickets are only 7€ and they have a bar with reasonably priced beers, wines, and snacks.

Overall we had a very positive experience. Tickets were 7,5€ and you could bring your own beer and snacks or buy it in the kiosk. Deck chairs and blankets are provided for free. Both picture and sound were good. The downpart was the smokers. It would be better if the smokers had a designated area or if they simply didn't allow smoking within the area.

Big space. Big screen. Big speakers. Real time background transition. Regardless of weather, bring a jacket. Essential for spring and summer.

It’s nice to watch a movie in open air. Who comes first get to choose the chairs and the sits. In the evening might be little cold, be prepared.

Nice large screen and good sound system. The organizers lend pillows to sit and small blankets if the weather is chilly. Nice selection of movies, small food and beer stands. Great initiative.

Be there ahead of time to get a free long chair and warm blanket. You can bring your own drinks and food or buy them directly there. Movies are generally OV with subtitles but check the program!

Very nice outdoor cinéma. One piece of advice, if you want to sit on the nice comfy chair, I recommend you come early and if there's really warm weather bring some Moskitos Spray with you

Awesome venue! Ticket sales and entry start thirty minutes before the movie, and I’d recommend coming even before that as there’s a long line. Of course every one wants to get a beach chair. There were English blankets for everyone. Prices are really fair (2,50€ for a small popcorn) and bringing your own food and beverages is no issue. ’d recommend buying the tickets online.

Really nice place to enjoy a movie. The sound quality could be a bit better but the great environment made up for it. You can get food and drinks before and during the film.

It is a great experience to watch a movie in the open. The place is a big garden surrounded by trees and houses and can easily seat more than one thousand viewers. The screen is large enough to comfortably watch from any part of the seating area. Do not expect the same quality of audio as you would find in a regular movie theater though. Most movies in their calendar are presented in their original language with subtitles. Subtitles are in English for German language movies, and generally in German for all other languages.

So this is what open air cinema should be like. If you get there early enough you can get a deck chair and a excellent view on the screen. Ticket prices are very adorable as are drinks and popcorn. All the movies are in their original language with German subtitles unless they are German, then the subtitles are English. Sadly word got around and it is a good idea to be there an hour before the film starts.

Hands down the best open-air cinema in Berlin. The atmosphere is great, the quality of the sound and screen is on par with regular indoor cinemas. Also probably the best popcorn too.

This place is match to everything you want (or at least most of them). Usually good movies, salty and sweet pop corns, fair price beer and non-alcoholic drinks.

You can bring your food and drink with you.

Head up, sometimes it makes sense to have warm cloth or blanket with you.
