Beautiful cinema in the heart of the Hackesche Höfe that offers unconventional and niche high-quality movies next to current big successes. Most of them are in their original language with German subtitles, which is a great plus. It's a guarantee for a great cinema experience.
Just be aware that there's no elevator, you'll have to walk up to the 3rd floor. It's a pretty short staircase, so it's actually not much of an effort, but it is important to bear in mind if you sit in a wheelchair or have issues with walking.

My favourite cinema in Berlin. Great selection of quality films in original language. Polite and friendly staff. Serious-minded, 'film festival' type of audiences. It's heaven!

My favorite small cinema in Berlin. Good location and charming waiting area. The snack prices are the usual, the popcorn is usually fresh. My only critic is the selection, some popular movies are not presented at all.

One of the most atmospheric movie theaters in Berlin (and it’s a lot to say). Located on a top floor of the very historical building in Hackesche Höfe, it surprises you with several movie halls with comfortable seats and great sound system. Most films are screened in original language, and they have a large section for kids. The staff is always friendly and their popcorn is always tasty.

Adorable theater. Sweet or salty popcorn options and many alcoholic or non alcoholic drink options.

Cool cinema with good prices and great film selection. During screening people were eating loud, talking, dropping glass bottles and using their phones but I guess the cinema cant tell if someone is a savage while selling them a ticket. 5/5 stars for the establishment, 1/5 for the berlin crowd.

Cosy cinema in a lovely building, staff were friendly, with drink and popcorn available.

The cinema is on your 3rd floor and because it's in a heritage building the owners are unable to install lifts.
So if you trouble getting up stairs, you may need to find another cinema.

The cinema only shows films in English with German subtitles, unless it's a kids movie.

This has become my favorite cinema in Berlin. If you’re under 26 and book tickets online they’re only 6€ for any movie. I enjoy the snack selection and while not cheap, it’s still more affordable than at larger cinema chains. They also have coffee with oat milk and a nice seating area where you can sit for a while before or after a movie, with good views over Hackesche Höfe. The staff is always friendly - overall the vibes are just more cozy than in big chains with a better selection of movies which are almost always shown in their original language.

Great cinema space with a great deal for people under25. They always feature great movies, many of them under the radar.

I like the atmosphere also and the crowd

Amazing place, tiny tiny rooms. Best to sit in the back row. But great popcorn and drinks. Service is very nice. Very cool small cinema experience. Don't go if you're a fan of huge theater fans.

Cute cinema, some scenes (Dune 2) were a bit too loud

Love this cinema, the staff and the vibe, sometimes I wished for more OMEU but maybe I just need to step up to the C1 German game. Just fab. LOCAL GEM X
