A beautiful oasis of calm in the middle of Berlin Mitte. This is an old military graveyard converted into a small public park with benches and walking paths. Amazing for reading a book or spending some quiet time away from the crowds. If you're here, check out the great soy concept store around the corner.

Старое берлинское кладбище где похоронены военные, в основном погибшие на войне, не во второй мировой, раньше, в предыдущих войнах, очень важное историческое место в Берлине. Так же там было и массовое захоронение погибших в боях на улицах Берлина. Частично большая часть кладбища снесена, там где были простые солдаты, осталась а общем та часть где лежат офицеры и высшие офицеры. Интересны кресты отлитые из металла - это продукция градообразующих сталелитейных предприятий того времени. Продукция таких изделий, также решёток и проч. была важным источником дохода. Была настоящая мода одно время. На многих надгробиях характерная надпись "Auf Wiedersehen" - "До свидания", или "До встречи" , Возможно, у военных было так принято, сами понимаете почему. Но я точно не уверен.

Erstaunlich ruhig hier mitten im Zentrum Berlins. Ein alter Friedhof, der alls Park angelegt ist und man hier kurz in der stillen Natur entspannen kann. Nicht riesig aber für eine kurze Pause schön. Viele große Kreuze und Grabsteine die schon sehr sehr alt sind auf Rasen. Hier finden keine Beerdigungen mehr statt. Eine kleine stille Oase in Mitte.
