Alamo Rent A Car - Berlin-Mitte

Despite the negative comments, my rental car drop-off experience was very positive at this Alamo branch on 30/11/2023. Despite having rented the car from another city, I just drove through the parking lot, where the barrier opened automatically. It was easy to find the parking space of Alamo thanks to the signs everywhere. The agent that greeted us was very friendly and helpful. The drop-off process took just a few minutes. I'm hoping that I continue collecting good memories of my car rentals at Alamo.

I had a good experience renting here. I'd accidentally booked a manual, but our very helpful rental agent Kilian fixed us up with a great vehicle even though it was Sunday and demand was high. Would definitely go back.

Durch das Lesen der Rezensionen bin ich schon mit Bauchschmerzen zu Alamo in der Friedrichstraße gefahren. Aber alles Top. Sehr höfliche, professionelle Übergabe des Fahrzeugs. Die Rückgabe erfolgte an einem Sonntag wo die Filiale geschlossen war, über einen Schlüsseltresor. 5 Tage nach der Rückgabe erhielt ich einen genau so professionellen, freundlichen Anruf von Herrn Ahmad, der mir mitteilte das alles in Ordnung wäre. Von mir 5 Sterne.....tolles Team.

Ich muss sagen, top! Brauchte spontan ein Auto für 10 Tage. Hatte zwar eine hohe Selbstbeteiligung, brauchte ich aber nicht ;). Super freundlich, alles komplett ohne Komplikationen. Auto top in Ordnung und entsprach der Kategorie. Würde ich auf jeden Fall wieder nutzen.

Nach äußerst schlechten Erfahrungen bei Buchbinder und Global rent-a-car, waren meine letzten Mietungen hier eine super Erfahrung. Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr engagiert und stets hilfsbereit und kulant. Tolles Team vor Ort!

In der Korona Zeit gab es längere Schlange vorm Laden (eine Stunde habe ich gewartet) aber das Personal war sehr höflich und hat jeder Person erklärt warum es alles einzeln gehen muss und haben sich für die Verständnis bedankt. Sehr nett!

Meine erste Erfahrung war überaus positiv. Fahrzeug 2 Wochen im voraus reserviert. Die Klasse war dann bei Abholung nicht verfügbar. Kostenloses Fahrzeug-upgrade wurde ohne weiteres ausgeführt. Auch bei der Rückgabe lief alles problemlos.

Pros: Friendly staff, good central location. Cons: no child seats available, we booked an Hyundai ionic hybrid or similar but only got a Ford Puma (manual, no hybrid, smaller). So, overall the experience we OK, but there are a few things that could be improved...

Naja, Auto war beim Abholtermin nicht fertig, dann noch draufzahlen für dies und das, bin nicht begeistert.

You won’t find a business that operates worse than this. One staff member running the check in desk with 15 customers waiting to be served.
Once you have checked in, you then have to wait for your car to “be ready”. Not sure what that means considering you book a car weeks/days in advance. The poor lady at the counter was lovely. Please review your processes, or prepare to be drowned by car sharing businesses.

I made a reservation a few weeks ago for an automatic car. Went to pick it up this morning, was notified they don't keep automatic cars at that location. I don't understand why someone didn't think to share that information in advance, or maybe perhaps not allow people to make bookings for cars they don't have.

Waited an hour to be told that the car we had booked was not available. So, of course we asked for our money back. It has been a week and I have not heard from the refund department. Starting to look like my money is gone. AVOID THIS COMPANY

I am deeply dissatisfied with the rental car experience I had with Alamo Berlin. Despite booking a Volkswagen Passat or a similar vehicle, I was given a smaller car, a Golf model, without prior notice or consideration for my needs. The vehicle I received was also in poor condition, with maintenance issues such as a fluid requirement and non-functional wipers.

Our transaction happened in September
We were charged for automatic car booked through the website, while given a manual transmission car, same rate, non negotiable.
We were charged extra for fuel. When we complained, the customer service rep acknowledged this fact, and promised a refund of 40 €. That promise was never fulfilled, despite several follow up calls after, last of which 29-October, new promise, no transfer.
Emails are not answered.
Furthermore, today I have received an email from the agency, asking me to pay 27€ admin fees for handling a traffic violation. This is not the amount of the violation, this is the amount that the agency charges me in order to give the authorities my data.
Terrible experience.

To the other reviewer who calls herself 'N': please contact me if you read this! I was charged for the exact same thing as you and I have a feeling that we may have even been charged for the same damage to the same car (2019 model Toyota Yaris). If we can prove this then we can take Alamo to court and get our money back. My name on facebook is Daryl Sulfate, send me a message!

Total fraud! Forced to pay for damages I didn't do and excess kilometres even though two staff members told me there was no daily limit. Unbelievable, I was waiting for someone to jump out from behind a hidden camera and tell me it was all a joke. 600€ to rent a car for 24 hours, a lot different to the 26,67€ I thought I was paying when I booked it.
