One of my favourites. It's cosy, it has an incredible selection of new German AND English books (about 50/50?) and the service is amazing. Classics are just as represented as the most exciting up and coming authors and current themes. You can happily just browse the shop in peace or, if like me you were after something specific, the owner and staff will talk about each book they recommend with great knowledge and passion (also in German or English). The dedication to literature - without a single bit of patronisation - and friendly, caring vibe is why I keep coming back here.

One of the best bookstores in Berlin. Knowledgeable people who work here and curate a fine collection of German and English language books. Lovely space in the heart of Mitte.

My new favourite shop in Berlin. And I love to shop. The man who works there is just a dream. He recommended wonderful beautiful and just magically written books for my holiday - which I am trying to plough through now despite having my 2 year old with me who doesn’t understand alone reading time…
I will never buy online again and save my book pennies to come here.
Also fantastic sense of humour and wit.
Ps - you were right. Convenience store woman way too short for me but absolutely unmissable. Solution. Read it twice 😝.

My favorite book shop. The staff is super friendly and they often order things to next day. Always call you and in store they give good recommendations. I like to go down this little steps like you enter a new world. Also nice that they have heaps of English books.

My favourite bookshop in Berlin. Despite of its small size (or perhaps because of it) they have a really great selection of books! So go and let yourself be chosen by one :) P.S.: nice staff (helpful, but unintrusive - and best of all, with great literary taste).

Simply the best book shop in Berlin, they also have a nice selection of books in english and they always have super interesting books that you don’t find in the “mainstream” book shops! Totally recommend having a look at this place🖤 the people working at the shop are extremely nice and helpful.

I was looking for a traditional children's book translated into English and the staff here went out of their way to help me find the perfect book to bring back. Great shop with a nice selection of English and German books -- friendly and knowledgeable staff.

Little, cute place run by a man with an exquisite taste for literature. I will certainly come back when visiting Berlin again. Books in English, too.

Dieser Buchladen ist so schön! Ich war total überrascht, was für eine riesige Auswahl dieser kleine (aber feine!) Laden hatte - besonders auch eine sehr schöne Sektion für englische Bücher. Man findet hier definitiv irgendwas, egal welche Buchrichtung man am liebsten hat 😄

Dieser Buchladen scheint mit viel Liebe gebaut zu sein.

Die kleinen handgeschriebenen Empfehlungsschilder oben auf den Büchern, die selbstgemalten Schilder im Kinderbereich…

Die Sammlung ist überschaubar, und der ganze Laden ist sehr gemütlich beleuchtet. Wegen diesem Laden macht es wieder Lust, ein Buch zu lesen.

PS: Wäre toll, wenn es hier und da kleine Stühle gäbe. Aber es macht mir eh nichts aus, bisschen auf dem Boden zu sitzen.
