Very good, traditional food. We tried the Eastern special dishes: lamb, rabbit, goose. Everything was perfect. Here you can have real German quality beer. Around all this good stuff to eat and drink, a nice and cozy atmosphere is built to make you feel a bit less in Berlin and a bit more in the heart of Germany.

I am an English speaker and my wife has several food allergies to dairy, gluten and nuts. They had an English menu available and my wife had a delicious meal of their roast goose with red cabbage apple slaw and dumplings (without gluten). The staff was very accommodating and kind, the food and drinks were fantastic and the atmosphere was warm and inviting.

Very good schnitzel! Big portions for a reasonable price. Very nice staff. Be careful, there is an English & Spanish translated menu but there are less dishes than the actual German menu. Overall, very delicious and cozy restaurant!

Great restaurant with excellent food and service.

We tried going to a more popular recommended place, but we needed a reservation. We really wanted some authentic German food. This place was authentic, and I really appreciated that it was local, unlike the other place. Very hearty portions, delicious in flavor, right what we were looking for. Not a very big menu that is completely fine by me. I recommend this place for sure.

This is my neighborhood German restaurant of choice. I come at least twice a year- during the seasonal Asparagus and Chanterelle menus.
The service is always very kind and fast. The beer is delicious, and the portions are rather large. They welcome dogs, and the atmosphere inside is very cosy and calm.

Massive portions of amazing, homemade German fare in Prenzlauerberg. Recommend the beef goulash and the beef Rouladen. The house made apfel strudel was delish too.

Excellent traditional food. Also excellent service. They were kind and fast. The place has the coziest atmosphere, very clean and with care on details. The decoration is just lovely. Right in the heart of Prenzlauerberg. I’ll come back whenever I have a chance.

Incredible food we had during Spargelzeit. We had the asparagus with smoked ham and potatoes with parsley, and a beef roll. The asparagus dish was phenomenal. Very cozy interior. Music was a bit not fitting the place, but a minor detail.
