This little hidden gem in the forest is beautiful and seren. Anytime of the year or day, the restaurant serves traditional food from the region and it is delicious.

We were planing to go there to have dinner, but we were a bit too late and the kitchen has closed. We went in for a couple of beers anyway and turned out we have a wonderful dance party. The staffs are extremely friendly and I guarantee you will meet some amazing people there. A must go place in Freiburg. Greeting from New Jersey, USA 😁

The food was great in terms of quality and taste. Service was nice. But the best thing about this place is their ambience and their history and their location. Existing since centuries, this is located deep in the heart of black forest. The walk there is quite breathtaking. And if you are there during the sunset, it's a treat for your instagram profile.

Great food experience in a warm cozy ambient. Unforgettable experience if you reach it by foot, they will provide you a candel to go back in the dark. Food is so fine that it's hard to think at it as a Beer Garden, best restaurant in Friburg.

If you're looking for a rewarding german meal and a cold refreshing beer after an exhausting hike in the surrounding mountains, this is the ideal Inn for you. Very friendly staff, simple but great local food. You'll surely get your money's worth here.
The restaurant is accessible by car or by foot through a short hiking trail.

Great food, great location. Even better during the summer because of the outdoor seating. You might want to plan to walk a short distance uphill, the parking spaces up there are scarce.
