Markthalle

A small food hall with good selection of cuisines, we ordered the German & Puerto Rico food, they were big portion and very flavorful. If you ran out of food options, come here and you will be happy you do.

A relatively small markthalle, very overcrowded and very diverse food. I tried from Thailand sushi and green Thai curry. Sushi were freshly made. Absolutely delicious and the Thai curry was very good with crunchy vegetables.

You can find food from all around the world! The variety of cuisines are great, also plenty space to sit and enjoy the food/drinks.

This was such a great place for a huge selection of lunch options from all over the world -fresh Italian pasta and pastries, champagne bar, flammkuchen, indian, Thai, japanese, Brazilian, Afghani, Persian...and some I can't remember! On Friday evening they were open late for dinner (maybe this happens other days too) and had live music, so it was a great atmosphere. Great for groups as you can choose from something to suit all tastes and enjoy it together. It can get very busy at lunch time so arrive early, especially if you have a group.

Divineeee food options, I had such a hard time choosing, but ended up with amazing Persian. Most everything in the hall is around $12-$15 but you’re definitely getting a decent portion and satisfying meal. Go after dark to get a DJ and disco ball! (Maybe only on weekends?)

I love the Markthalle! It’s not too big but you can find good food for good prices and the atmosphere is just very nice! The Maultaschen at the „Badische Bar“ are amazing! The staff has been friendly too!

I love this place! If you want to try foods from other parts of the world in the heart of Freiburg, this is the place to be. The last time I was there, I had a rollo from Rollo Arabica and even though my German is limited and we didn't have other languages in common, we managed to communicate and I had a delicious meal. There are always people, it's always bustling and I like the mix. Check it out if you want some international food.

Great food court/ market hall with a wide selection of foods including Indian, Brazilian, Thai, Bavarian, Italian, Vietnamese, fresh fish and more. There was also a great café and bar inside although if you go at peak times you may struggle for seating. Great place to check out!

I really enjoy this place, it has a couple of advantages over any restaurant around:
1. Prices are quite good: e.g. paid 9 EUR for Chicken Masala with vegetables.
2. If you go out with friends, you don't need to pick a place which fits everybody's interest. This place has tons of options, from vegan to meat, from Indian to Brasilian.

The disadvantage is that it is pretty crowded. But we always found a place where we could eat and enjoy.

Wide selection of food from all over the world. Good drink options (beer, wine and cocktails). Can be a bit crowded but the place have very lively and bubbly atmosphere.

Super! Excellent combination of different cusines from different countries all in one place!! I had a great time there and the food was fantastic!!!
Markthalle is a must try in Freiburg.

Markthalle Freiburg is a cosy place to chill, eat and party at the same time. Especially in winter when outdoor activity is mostly impossible.

The Canoa Brasil is definitely a must. The feijoada was so tasty, like home… but the farofa tasted like my grandma’s one. Jackpot! Friendly people! I would always go back there.

We ate at Canoa Brasil. As a Brazilian, I can say that the feijoada was very authentic and delucious! The price was fair and the portion size was good. Would reccomend.
In general, Markthalle has a great atmosphere. Nice place to check out to get food from around the world in the heart of Freiburg.

A must if you visit Freiburg. Great food choice from around the world cuisines. Relaxed atmosphere and very interesting to have a break for some delicious food and drink.

I went to the Jolly Caffe and had a very good coffe with canoli. Would recommend.

It seems cool, with a nice atmosphere, with cheaper food than at the fancy restaurants. It might be too touristic, but nice nevertheless.
