BUDDELS Gasthaus & Weinbar - Hamburg

Went to this wine bar to hide from the rain, but found a hidden gem of German wines. If you're a wine lover and would like to try and appreciate local varieties - that is a perfect place for you. Prices for wine and appetizers/starters are reasonable, but main prices are a bit high. The interior is amazing - worth visiting just to enjoy it with a glass of German Riesling. 🥂

Amazing food, outstanding service, wonderful atmosphere, you can’t go wrong. The menu is not overwhelming - some starters, mains, and desserts. You are certain to fine something you will like. The food is rustic, yet upscale, bursting with flavor and visually appealing. Truly an all-around great culinary experience.

Loved it. Sanded soft white pine furniture everywhere. Clean white walls. Huge tall painted ceiling. Excellent food and English speaking staff. Try the salmon and the schaufelstuck (beef and blackberry sauce). And for some weird reason, American pop songs playing in the background.

A wonderful dining experience: Great ambience, friendly service, fantastic food. The tartare and fish dishes in particular were exceptional. We'll absolutely go back next time we're in Hamburg.

Place is very nice and service is very kind.
Food recipes are quite complex, and that gets reflected into high price, everything is very tasty and wine selection is quite broad, impossible not find the right wine for your dinner.
Dessert of coffee ice cream and panna cotta is superb.
Highly recommended.

I had the best time at this place! The service was seriously top-notch — it's been ages since I felt so pampered. Even though we rolled in late, the kitchen was super cool about serving us. Especially regarding the vibe and the wine – they nailed it! The whole experience was just fantastic. Strong recommend!

Great wines, most friendly staff I have ever seen. There is a huge variety of wines you can choose and the waiters help with every step with great patience. I loved the place. We could not try most of the food of course, but everything looks just delicious. I can highly recommend.

Very stylish, calm and delicious restaurant. Windows facing the canal available. We had the moules frites which were very good. Staff is extremely friendly, they played a lot of John Mayer tunes which reflect the athmosphere of the place
