Nice smaller museum with a café inside.

There are 5-6 steps at the entrance but the exposition itself is on one floor with wide enough spaces for a wheelchair.

I rather like that the exposition is structured by aspect rather than chronologically, it gives a better insight into what life around the Speicherstadt was actually like.

There are some pieces that are interactive. I particularly enjoyed how i found the answer on how probing of cargoes was done in the past by actually trying it out myself.

The café has a good selection of teas, some softdrinks and a tasty cake.

Very small museum. But you can see how to work ware houses at Hamburg Hafen. You can also order coffee, tea and cake various.

Incredible commercial history detailed in this museum about the harbor and customs house area in Hamburg over the centuries.

This museum provides an excellent explanation about how the warehousing district evolved as a result of the unification of Germany under Bismarck, after which Hamburg was no longer a Free City therefore warehousing had to be concentrated within the Free Port. There are English explanations of each exhibit, which are shorter than those in German, however they are sufficient to understand what the museum is about. More detailed explanations in English are available on demand.

Nice Museum about the surrounding area.
Focus on coffee, how it was shipped, sorted, processed, taxed, etc.
Doable in about an hour if you read all the captions.

You could spend the whole day at the museum. It's just one room but the amount of information and history in it is mesmerising! You can learn about the history of trade in Hamburg.

It's very small. But gives you a general overview of the Speicherstadt. Unfortunately the English translation is far shorter and omits information when compared to German. But nothing too important.
There is also a café and they do guided tours, which I unfortunately wasn't able to take.

Really nice overview of the warehouse part of Hamburg. The exhibit is in German, with a shorter version in English, but they had a tablet with the whole text in English you could read off of.

The museum is small, explanations are in German but when you ask staff they will give you tablet so that you read everything in English and a small map so you know where to start. The prices are not high, it was 3€ for students.

A small but highly interesting museum regarding the handling of trade goods in the 19th and 20th century. A lot of highly interesting information regarding the additional services (like quality control of all Kings of goods) done within the warehouses - the principles there are still relevant for everyday life even if they are conducted in other places nowadays.

Very interesting museum about a topic that is not widely known. The descriptions are mostly in german. There is text in english but it's much less detailed than the german version. There are plenty of objects, images and videos, though, that make the exhibition worth the trip!

The price is reasonable, lower than ther museums.
Here you can check out the history of this district, look at equipment and products that were used in the past. Informative tables and screens will tell you interesing stories about how the goods were transported.

By the way, ther's also a shop with tea, souvenirs, books, postcards etc.
Walking by Speicherstadt you should definitely include museum to your itinerary.
