Very interesting museum. The ticket is 5 Euro but you can taste all kind of spices. And buy if you want . There is also an audio guide as well. Beside you can drink Glühwein which is mixed with the Same spices there. I highly recommend specifically if you have kids . They can learn a lot!😊

Visited on a Monday (17 Oct 22). Busy but not packed. Entry ticket €5 and you get a sachet of ( in my case) black pepper corns. Incredibly interesting to see the history of spices and where they are grown. Uses and applications. Not just for cooking.

We love doing out of the box things when we travel, and since my wife loves to cook, we came here. We learned a lot about spices and their history. Personally I liked all the spice processing equipment. Oh, and we bought a lot of spices.

Must see museum if you like to cook, to get to know where all the spices come from and how they’re “made”. They also sell some of the spices for OK prices. The shop across the hall also sells spices of which some are even cheaper.

Really cool museum right at the heart of "Speicherstadt". Lovely details and a cool Audioguide. You can learn a lot about the history and use of spices.
Prices for entry and in the shop are fair.
P.s. if you're looking for a nice souvenir for your loved ones, that's your goto spot.

Love the detail they provide about "curry". For an Indian ,it's the best place to be in Hamburg.

Amazing place. You can experience spices by taste and smell. There are all kinds of spice related things to see:
The spices, their origins, the history of the spice trade, machinery for harvesting and processing and even some artwork.
They even have their own range of spice mixtures in the museum shop.
Very recommended location.
Labels are in English and German.
Is on the 2nd upper floor ( DE: "3. Stock") of a historic Speicherstadt store house.
No elevator i could see.
Nice extra touch:
As an entry ticket you get a package of spices 🙂

If you like spices that is the place. My girlfriend and I spend 3 hours there and loved that time. As your ticket you get a bag of pepper corns. And they have most of the spices for sale.
