Very good service. Being in land which is famous for ‘not welcoming’ customer service, CGI set an example for very good services. The officer was very helpful and calm. Very knowledgeable and friendly as well. No further words to explain. Just great.

Decent consulate.. it's housed what was the oldest library in Hamburg.. overall good experience, and they have good initiatives like free yoga classes, free Hindi classes..

The consulate was very efficient during my husband's and my passport renewal. Especially during pandemic times, and everything over online, they were really very helpful and considerate. They always responded for my email within 1-2 working days, and would always explain the steps in detail.
It is always better to write them an email for any consular services, rather than just going through the website and sending your documents. Since every document varies on a case to case basis, it is definitely advisable to contact them first.

We went to apply for OCI of my wife and we had made a couple mistakes but they were extremely helpful in helping us file properly and incredibly patient even when we were fumbling with papers.

We came from far and had a bad, rainy day, but the help from the consulate came as sunshine. 5 star for sure!

*One tip, please look at the website for the updated information, and if in doubt the best way is to contact them by email, they reply swiftly and they're always helpful. Do NOT come without an appointment please, it wastes their time and your time also*

Extremely professional and helpful staff. No unnecessary delays or any show of the quintessential "Sarkari Babu".
Special mention to Mr. Sarkar and Mr. Vijay.

One drawback that I'd like them to improve upon, is the reachability via telephone or other means.
2nd and more importantly, is the inability to pay by EC card. If you have to pay €19, don't expect to pay €20 and get €1 back. You have to get the exact amount in "cash".

Very helpful, polite and friendly staff. I had many questions and they guided me patiently. They even helped me with the name of the studio where I could get pics with specifications.
