Vivarium Darmstadt

The Vivarium Zoo in Darmstadt is a nice place to spend a lovely day or even a cloudy day, esp with kids. They have quite a collection of different animals, including colourful birds all over the world, including flamingo birds. They also have many butterflies and all sorts of fishes.

This is a lovely place to visit. There are many animals outside and in. You can brush the friendly goats, go in the special animal houses and have a meal or snack at the cafe. Peacocks wander around . My favourite animals are the binturungs.
It's a great place to take children or just have a leisurely wander.

Went for couple hours and I was actually pleasantly with the diversity. Very good park and nice place to spend a day with kids. The internal restaurant is too expensive. Pretty cool activity to do in otherways mostly boring city.

I took my daughter there she had a blast. I was surprised how many animals they had but we had an amazing time. Will definitely go back with some of her friends.

I liked this place very much. My 2 year daughter enjoyed a lot with peacock.. very friendly and calm animals.. we enjoyed a lot here.

Nice cute little zoo. Don't expect too much but the animals that are there are pretty active and interesting. Price value definitely alright.

A very nice place for kids to enjoy, lots of animals and for us the kangaroo was the star. You can easily spend 3 hours here. Along with animals, the kids park is also very good

I love the Vivarium. They have no fancy, large animals that would be confined and unhappy on the premises. Instead they maintain very nice facilities for a variety of different species. I especially appreciate the reptiles and fishes. It’s always fun to search for them in their aquariums.

Great place to spend few hours - animals are well kept and there are few playgrounds including a restaurant.

Wonderful little Zoo with a surprising amount of Australian animals. For those visiting from overseas they didn't take Visa so bring cash!

Great place for spending time with your family.

I had an excellent day there with my daughter. As zoos go, it's not big and doesn't have the most exotic animals, but she did not care. And all the environments for the animals are nicely created and maintained, with a good amount of space. Being a little smaller, there's also no fear of missing out - the entire place can be taken in in a day, with a break in the cafe area and playground. It's great!

They take a lot of care to give the animals wide and natural areas to live in. It also seems like they do not have exotic animals just for the sake of it, but take the preservation and protection very seriously. Right now, due to Corona, a lot was closed off - we will definitely come back, once it's possible to see all areas again!

Perfect for younger children. There’s a playground and café and baby changing facilities in both male and female toilets. There are events where children can watch feeding and animals where you can go among them and use the brushes to brush them

If to préserve the animals,it's good but wild animals must stay in their area and i think ,it's the Last animals that i see
