Very nice place to have a beer and a bite to eat. When we were there they had three different "house brewed" beers which are good ( we tried all three of course).

They also have the occasional season beer (November). The wheat beer has a strange (cloudy) look but is actually good ( don't let the looks fool you).

We tried the schnitzel, goulash and Haxe . Food pairs really well with the beers and surely recommended.

I'm trying to taste all kind of beers as much as I can. This beer is amazing. They produce the best beer I've ever drunk so far in my entire life.

Visited here in 2017 with my Aunt and Uncle, who are German, whereas I am from the States. Wow! So amazing and authentic I enjoyed everything from the beer to the dinner and entire atmosphere.

The absolute best - strongly recommend anyone and everyone visit this place. Wait staff was kind and courteous, the atmosphere was awesome and the food was delicious and perfectly cooked. I can’t say enough good things about this restaurant. Will absolutely be going back!

Best place in Darmstadt to try out the local brewed beer in a traditional German pub atmosphere. Spread out over three floors including basement smoking area, first floor bar and second floor restaurant.

My wife and I were only one day in Darmstadt and looked for somewhere to dine. We decided to try the Ratskeller and was not disappointed. The waiter was so friendly and inappropriate short time served our meals with two great beers. Even though we were only once here I don't have problems recommending this restaurant. It's worth a visit.

Loved it! A local place and local brewery. Their pilsner is fantastic, more full bodied than most pils. We had the schweinehaxen pork knuckle, which was very crispy and good flavor but there was no sauce with it. Also had the jagerschnitzel, veal cutlet with brown mushroom gravy, and it was fantastic. We got a side of the kartopfelsalat potato salad and liked it as well.

The restaurant is super, really authentic brewery. The service is high quality. The menu is quite shoort, but the food, beer and cider we ordered was perfect quality and not expensive

Nice pub with its own brewery. The food is good,tasty and not so expensive in addition to a large variety of German dishes. However, their craft beer, especially the premium, is really good. The restaurant is downstairs and has a cozy ambiance, great for an after-work beer or for a quick refresher. The decoration is cool and the service is superb. Recommended.

You should try it for authentic ambiance. Beers (my choice was dark beer) and fried sausage are very successful. If you want to eat and drink something in Darmstadt, I suggest you go there.

Review from last year - Delicious selection of vegan offerings. I had the Rote-linsen Frikadellen with Ratatouille at the Regenten-Stube. Last year, the Brauhaus also used to offer Vegan Gulasch which was just the best.

The best Apfelstrudel in Darmstadt. Very popular and crowded place, but the service was fast enough. Delicious traditional meals that go great with beers.

Fabulous local beer brewery ! very local flavor in an ancient building. I like how they counted the beers we drank: scribbling crosses on our glass mats !

Beer brewed by them, sausages, salads, pork knuckle, what else can I ask for if I want an authentic German lunch or dinner? I'll be back 100%. The waitress are very kind and serve quickly, even with all tables occupied. And if they take a bit longer the beer makes the wait more pleasant
