Cagdas Café - Restaurant

Great atmosphere, better than what i expected based on their website. Good service, kind and thoughtful. Food deserves 5+ based on price vs quality. The food and drinks came quick yet we were allowed to eat and drink and talk afterwards at our own pace.

Very nice people, very good food and the price is right. We were here two nights after eachother because we loved the food.
Ordered too much but they packed it for us to go.

We were a big group of hungry and thirsty colleagues from all over the world and we really enjoyed our dinner at Cagdas Cafe. The service was very friendly and fast despite it was around twenty of us. The food was very tasty. Definitely go for everything that's grilled! Actually the grilled meat reminded me a lot of Caucasus cuisine, which I happen to love.

Loved this place! Firstly it is nice to sit with a charming view if youre seated on the balcony. Secondly the service is great, just lovely people. And third but not least the food. For this kind of money we were blown away. We shared a grill for 2, it was served with a small show at our table. The meat was fresh, perfectly grilled and seasoned to perfection. If I wouldn't live 500km away I would come here every week.

Very good and genuine Turkish restaurant in the centre of the town. Delicious food and friendly staff with a quick service. Especially the grilled dishes were very good and portions were of a good size. The Efes beer is also a good choice to accompany the food.

Nice place to eat once on a while. Daily menu is awesome and not really expensive. (Attention, daily manu does not change much from the days, if you go several times on a row you should consider other things from the menu card)

I would always recommend to visit this restaurant should you ever think of visiting the city of Essen. The make great turkish food for fair prices. It is situated in the city centre (Stadtmitte) and not difficult to find. The staff (especially the manager) were always nice and helpful. They really try to accommodate you in the best way. I recommen the Ayran, their grill dishes & Pides ( best pides you can find in the whole region).
