Valentín Perla Blanca

Perla Blanca is an amazing place. I stayed here a week and it was an unreal experience. I enjoyed it very much especially the sport club with Nivan Mora. He is a very active with games and entertainment. Keeps you company and he is the champion of ping pong. The beach is one of the best I’ve been in the world. Activities there are super fun. Try sailing and beach volley ball. In general I have no complaints about the service in the hotel. I will definitely come back in the following years. And I recommend this resort. GO CHECK OUT THE SPORT CLUB.

It is a beautiful hotel with incredible workers who, despite the shortcomings, strive to provide incredible service, always with a smile and very attentive. We feel part of Valentin's family, its beaches are beautiful and very clean, the dancers put on a wonderful show and the customer service guys are always looking out for us. Of course I will return and recommend it

Had a very nice stay at Valentin Perla Blanca. Food was good and staff was very sweet, all super friendly making it a more enjoyable vacation. We recommend going to the sports club near the theatre,( Nivan Mora who runs the sports club is one of the best animators at the resort). The entertainment team all together had fun activities planned which kept the resort lively all day. Beach is beautiful and was close to our room. Came here with my brother and will be back again next year. Thank you Valentin Perla Blanca!!

This place was amazing! The beach was breathtaking , the staff was the best and the grounds were immaculate.

Special shout out to Carlos our Catamaran fishing expert, Andy the most awesome server at the Buffet, Carlos the fitness trainer/gym supervisor and Adriano the beach griller & Daniel the bartender at the beach bar. These staff members went above and beyond to make our trip even more exceptional!

PRO TIP: make sure you pack ample bug spray/after bite - this is an island and the bugs are wild but manageable if you prepare.

Buy extra Tylenol, Advil and basic necessities and hand it out the staff. They have a hard time accessing these goods right now and the gesture is extremely appreciated:)

The beach and pool area were amazing!! Obviously, the reason we all go to Cuba. Along with gorgeous weather and really kind, hardworking, happy staff that make every guest feel special! We really enjoyed the buffet, especially the hot grill section. Always a variety of salads, breads, meats, veggies, and desserts. No salt or pepper needed here, lol. Everything had a definite Cuban flavour, but I expected that, of course, and really loved it! I had a little issue with the public restrooms as there was no toilet paper or soap, as Cuba is in a massive shortage of most toiletries, it's hard to blame the hotel. I was very grateful I had brought my own toilet paper, soap, and sanitizer. Lifesaver. But a minor inconvenience to an overall amazing vacation!!!

We just got back from a 7 day trip at Valentin Perla Blanca and it was absolutely amazing. Leyra at the buffet was incredible and made my day every single time we saw her. Daniel at the snack bar was awesome and we had some great chats with him at night when it was slower. We were nervous beforehand after reading some bad reviews but once there realized the bad reviews are mostly the result of entitled people also staying at the resort. Obviously there are food and paper towel shortages and you should know this if you are travelling to Cuba. It is a poor country and they do the best they can with what they are given. Unfortunately some people staying here are blind to this and take advantage. Example: people would take all the food off the tray at the buffet and not even finish half of their plate. We saw it happen almost every day and it is unfortunate because people leave bad reviews on the resorts lack of food when it is the result of other customers poor behaviour. The food wasn’t always hot but there are microwaves. Obviously a 5 star Cuba resort is going to be different than a 5 star Mexico resort and the price should reflect that. The staff at the resort were all amazing and you could tell they genuinely care. There are also stray cats all over the resort which I loved- and they were so friendly. I wish I knew how much cats there were so we could have brought treats with us. I scoured the reviews before going and there was no mention of them. We had a group of 11 and had a bit of a situation with the a la carte restaurants- my dad spend 35 minutes booking with someone and when we showed up to our reservation later they didn’t have it. This could be the result of poor communication or it could have been an honest mistake- mistakes happen. We went back the next day and explained the situation to Maibel (I think that’s how you spell her name- she was the manager of the a la carte) and she did everything she could to make it right for us so that we could enjoy the other dinners, moving the times around for us so we could all eat together and even giving us an additional a la carte night. The servers at the a la carte were amazing and I am kicking myself because we had one waitress who was hilarious and I completely forget her name. The food was honestly really good for Cuba- there was always something to eat. Crepes and sometimes omelettes for breakfast, there was always a good selection of pasta and there were some really good rice dishes. Beach bbq was amazing but be prepared to stand there as soon as they open because they get very busy and understandably run out of things. The rooms were also beautiful and they made a different shape on our bed every day with the blankets and towels. We never had any issues with hot water or water pressure- the showers were huge and very nice. We went to the Michael Jackson show and it was amazing- the entertainment team clearly works very hard. There are some times in the day that the mosquitoes are very bad so bring bug spray and after bite if you can but honestly the bugs were not nearly as bad as we get in Nova Scotia- the only reason I got bit so much is because I was petting the cats near the bushes and grass and that is where the mosquitoes like to hang out. Pay attention to the colours of the flags at the beach: if there is a red flag it means it is not safe to go in the water yet every day there was a red flag out there were people swimming in the water putting their lives and the lifeguards lives at risk if anything happened. The days the water is not safe to go into it is nice to walk along the beach because so many cool things wash up on shore. All in all it was a wonderful trip and if you go with an open mind you will have a great time. We will definitely be back!

First of all I would like to tell those who write negative things about Valentin Perla Blanca that they are wrong ,I just came back from there where I spent 10 wonderful days .There is no bugs in the rooms, there electricity and water in the resort which is kept clean. All staff are kind treating there gest nicely, the food and beverages are great and the atmosphere is amazing . It is the best quality price resort and there is nothing to complain about. I would highly recommend this hotel with no hesitation, go have fun in the sun and enjoy at a very reasonable price .Marwan#3354

Just spent 10 days at the Perla Blanca and I gotta say it was an incredible trip. Everything from the weather, the beach, and the staff was incredible.

Special thanks to; Andy (at the buffet), Victor (entertainment), Adrianno (Beach Grill), Carlos (Catamaran's), and Carlos (at the Gym/Pool) you guys were all incredible and it was a pleasure to meet you all.

We stayed at Valentin Perla Blanca for a week and it was amazing. It has one of the best beaches I have ever seen. Make sure to try the sailing. We spent a lot of time at the sports club playing ping pong, pool, chess and checkers with Nivan Mora. The sports bar was one of the best entertainment spots in the hotel. Nivan also gave us spanish lessons. Generally the entertainment in the hotel was 5/5. Lastly, the drinks at the bars were amazing! Definitely recommend!

Beautiful beaches, the friendliest people you will ever meet, too much booze, okay food. Been 12 times, looking forward to the 13th visit!!

First time in Cuba. I'm speechless(WOW). even though its slow season, I had a wonderful time. The beach is best beach from other countries beaches I've visited, even though not a lot of people here they still have had amenities and Entertainment and great lunches . Bartenders/Servers .
Concierge . The 1 restaurant open for dinner + poolside snack bar . Entertainment at night in the lobby with Dancers and music with bartenders on staff was always a good time. Unfortunately I didn't bring bugspray and got eaten alive, got injection, and cream after I became so itchy I couldn't sleep, doctor on site was their everyday to assist me. IM SPEECHLESS 1st time at Valentin Perla Blanca in Cuba and defiantly not my last. (5*)

We had an amazing time at Valentín Perla Blanca! It was so much fun, and we will definitely be back soon. Our entertainment host throughout our stay was named Victor, and he did a great job at getting us up on our feet, having fun and participating... which I don't normally do! He brought the fun to the party everyday, even though there were few people at the resort. (It was low season, mid November)

The staff at Valentín Perla Blanca are very hard working and will try their best to give you an amazing experience. Huge thank you to Jose, Dailen, Adislen and everyone else working in the lobby bar. Thank you to Carlos and Reniere in the snack bar kitchen for taking care of us and feeding us late at night!

Awesome place to stay for adults. You can have fun without having to worry about little ones. You have to manage expectations, the food can be very good but don't expect things you would normally get at home. Sometimes before dinner the water pressure gets too low to have a shower because everyone is using at once. Service was great staff was friendly and spoke pretty good English. But the best part is the beach, pool and bars just fantastic.
