Hotel Linda Vista, Arenal Volcano Hotel

Beautiful location and views. I can live there my entire life. Loved the pool and Jacuzzi. Clean and spacious rooms. Our room had direct view of the volcano. We spotted over 15 different birds from the room. I would visit again!

I loved the view and the big rooms. They have a huge terrace for the guests. The restaurant has fantastic view and great food. I loved the Arenal salad and Tuna salad, they are listed under appetizers. Everything was yummy. It is away from noise and traffic. Pura Vida.

The location is better than I could have expected! You get panoramic views of the lake and volcano. Yes, it’s not in La Fortuna, but we actually appreciated that more given the quiet atmosphere, immersed in nature, views and close to small local restaurants. The hot tub and pool are a great lounging space to soak in the views. The rooms are a bit dated but have everything you’ll need for a great stay.

I love this hotel, I think it has hands down the best view of the volcano and the nicest people working there. The restaurant on site has delicious food and drinks. The hotel is in a super remote spot so having a car or arranging transfers is a must. My only complaint is the beds (I've stayed three times) and my back still remembers how overly firm their mattresses are. I've had more comfortable sleeps tent camping. Obviously it doesn't stop me from coming back I love this place.

Wow! This place is spectacular, the views alone are amazing 😍. On one side there is the view of the lake, on the other is Arenal volcano, and the rest is a beautiful green landscape. A full breakfast includes fruit, your choice of entree, toast, juice and coffee ☕
The staff is attentive and professional.
The pool area has a resort feel, is very clean and helps one relax.
I look forward to staying here again.

We stayed for 3 nights in early May. For the price, this property is amazing! The grounds and views are spectacular! Our room had a direct view of the volcano. The room was very basic and dated, but that was okay since the property grounds and views were breathtaking. The staff was 5 star excellent! Breakfast food and service were excellent! We ate all dinners in the restaurant. The menu had ample choices, the food was excellent, and the service was superb! This property is very quiet, peaceful, and relaxing. I highly recommend this property and we would definitely stay here again!

The hotel is not in La Fortuna. It's 45 minutes away. Transportation is expensive best recommended to rent a car. This hotel is 3.5 hours from San Jose Airport which most hotels outside of San Jose are hours away from the airport. The food was amazing staff were exceptional. Jay our waiter provided us with transportation to our excursions and was very helpful with activity ideas. The front desk staff was great as well. Very helpful. Did I mention how delicious the food was. 😋 a little pricy more than in town but delicious. The view was amazing of the Arenal Lake and the volcano. You can see the volcano from every area of the hotel.

A real hidden gem in the Arenal Volcano area. I went for the view rather than choosing to stay at the higher end hot springs resorts and am so glad I did. What you get for the price makes this one of, if not the best value for money hotel in the La Fortuna area. We were 5 of us and checked in on our 4th day of our 10 day trip to stay for 3 nights. The room was spacious, beds were comfortable and they gave us a crib for our 3yr old which was helpful. Breakfast was very fresh and tasty. The infinity pool and hot tub overlooking both the lake and the volcano cannot be beat and the accompanying restaurant actually served up some of the best food and strong, quality drinks for your money, that We decided to dine here for both our 1st and 3rd night.
Raphael at the bar is so friendly, attentive, joked around and chatted to my 3yr old, and served up some very good drinks. These hidden gems are the true, off the Main road places you can best get to, by renting a car while in Costa Rica. They also get discounted activity prices so We did a day pass to Baldi hot springs which was a 10-15 min drive from the hotel on Day 1. We did the the Mystico Hanging Bridges and La fortuna waterfall on day 2. It was absolutely amazing to come back to the hotel in the evening, finishing your day in the infinity pool and hot tub reminiscing over your Costa Roca trip thus far.
The safe wasn’t working which got repaired quickly after reporting it. The air con was quite loud so I kept needing to stop it around 2-3am. Didn’t bother reporting this though.
Overall though, I Can’t wait to go back!!

You get the view of the Arenal volcano and the lake together from your own room! It was a bit out of the way, but we loved being there.

Wow. What a view from Hotel room. We are currently in Hotel Linda Vista. We could see beautiful Arenal volcano from hotel room. We took jr Suite which faces the lake and volcano from bedroom. It is not expensive as well. It is 25 km from La Fortuna but it is worth it. Please include every person in your reservation. Otherwise they charge 23 usd per son. I give 5 out of 5 for review

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Linda Vista during my visit to La Fortuna, Costa Rica, and I must say it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment we arrived, the experience was nothing short of amazing.

My husband & I stayed here for 6 days. We were so pleased with everything from start to finish. First off, the desk clerk, Natalia, was absolutely incredible! She helped us in so many ways during our stay. We couldn't thank her enough. The view from our suite was to die for! All around beauty and the Arenal Volcano could be seen all day long from our window.
The location of this hotel was perfect for all our daily activities. It was just a short drive to La Fortuna, where the majority of our adventures began.
The restaurant on the property was excellent. Every meal we had was delicious! All the staff present were so friendly & helpful with all our needs.
My husband & I plan on coming back next year. We will definitely be staying at Hotel Linda Vista again!

Solid 4.5 star hotel. One of the most wonderful hotels I have ever stayed at. The views are spectacular (lake arenal and the volcano). Rooms are beautifully decorated (they look newly renovated), AC and hot water worked great, and pool was beautiful. Food at the hotel was good and reasonably priced. The included breakfast was great but could use some more variety. The ONE thing that keeps this from a 5 star hotel is that the wifi was very poor. I didn’t have an issue as I was using a Costa Rican SIM during my trip so relied on my data, but if that is a dealbreaker for you, it’s something to consider. The drive to the hotel was fine in a 2wd SUV. Potholes only present during last 10 min of drive to hotel, they weren’t anything crazy either. Road was not too curvy. We accidentally drove at night to get to the hotel and were fine, but I’d definitely recommend driving during the day to make it easier.

Wonderful views of the lake and volcano if not cloudy. Staff is wonderful.

This place is amazing for the price. Many CR native visitors. Beautiful grounds & views. Outstanding breakfast & dinner. Excellent restaurant staff. We ate both all 3 days!! Noisy rooms, but everyone sleeps early. Might upgrade to suite next visit. It's 30 minutes from La Fortuna, near hot springs & zip lines. Highly recommend!

We only stopped by the restaurant. But their service was great, friendly and super fast. Food was delicious and the views are unbeatable. We checked the hotel prices and they were actually pretty affordable. I will definitely come back.

Beautiful views of the volcano and the lake. The staff was incredible (our thanks to all for helping us adjust on our first day and night in Costa Rica) and the restaurant made delicious breakfasts. Great spot if you want to be away from the city (La Fortuna).

Glad we stayed here. The views are incredible, the food is good, and the rooms more than satisfactory. The road to El Castillo is not for the faint of heart (but many roads in Costa Rica are similar). It was convenient for us to get to the Park, to the hot springs, and to town. We were able to daytrip from the hotel to Volcan Tenorio and Rio Celeste with no trouble.

Our room was amazing!!! Great view of the volcano and lake. The staff members were all incredibly friendly and helpful. Most spoke English well fortunately, because my Espanol needs work. One of the maintenance men (Bedal) spoke no English but we became friends anyway. I was walking to my room when he began yelling at me. I went over to him, and he pointed out these huge birds walking through the jungle. I gave him my rain coat before we left because he just had this tiny umbrella. The food was awesome. Just a short walk to El Castillo.

I stayed here for 2 nights and I am so glad I did. This place is incredible. The staff is extremely friendly. The room is a bit old and the beds are creaky but we were only here to sleep. Our view was beautiful. This place was affordable and accessible to everything we did. The breakfast is a choice of American or traditional Costa Rican. We had both and each were delicious. Both dishes come with fruit and coffee or juice. I’d highly recommend this place
