Soda La Palma

Really enjoyed this Soda place for lunch. We came 2 times and it's nice that the full meal comes with a fresh juice. The price is very affordable and quality is what you would expect. I paid an extra dollar for additional beans as it comes with a very small size of beans from some reason. Recommend you to do the same. Second time I ordered 2 extra beans for another 2 bucks.. still a 5 star review! I did chicken, wife did fish and did not disappoint!

Great authentic food. Service was nice and helpful. We enjoyed breakfast here two times. The first server couldn’t speak English, but she was able to take great care of us. This breakfast was included with our AirBNB. They had the BEST coffee!

The food was delicious and the staff were very friendly and polite. All of the food we ordered came out quickly, piping hot. The real star of the show is the atmosphere and view. It’s an open air cafe with spectacular views of the volcano. It was wonderful to feel the breeze while eating and immersing ourselves in the Costa Rican experience. Stop at the attached ice cream shop for an extra treat before you leave, you won’t regret it.

Great place for a quick bite. Food hit the spot after a long hike. Friendly waiter, tried to be accommodating with swapping my side out, but ultimately they weren't able to do it.
That's okay, I'd come here again. Shakes looked really good, but I didn't get one. I got the chicken quesadilla.

Quick post hike meal. Perfect for the the travelers on the move trying to do multiple activities a day. Food was great and satisfied my hangry children. Great views. Also takes credit cards.

We had breakfast at Soda la Palma and it was so delicious, the service was excellent and the restaurant and restroom was very clean.
Will definitely return and recommend 100%.

This place can get crowded as a heads up. We got the cheap plate which is essentially a small casados, which was standard. The chicharone and beans empanada was amazing though. Great chill spot.

After our Arenal Volcano hike, we stopped here for lunch. The food was great and their soursop milk shake and and sour gave juice is a must. You also get a great view of the volcano. I highly recommend this place.

Awesome place! Normally we don’t go back to the same restaurant when on vacation but here we had to! Reasonable prices, fresh food, and so tasty! Fresh juice that comes with some meals is an added bonus!

Delicious food, friendly staff, affordable price! Definitely recommend their empanadas and casados. My juice came included with the casado, although I would have bought one anyway. 10/10

We ate breakfast here for 5 days and loved it every single day. The food was always so yummy and fresh. I would highly recommend the traditional breakfast with the pinto gallo. It was delicious!

Excellent place for lunch. We seemed to always pass by La Palma daily so we stopped daily it seemed. Even the guides from the nearby volcano hikes go there. Best arroz con pollo around. Very reasonable prices and cold beers. My rice came in the shape on a volcano.

This open air shop serves the most delicious traditional breakfast in LaFortuna!

Good food for a good price! We had the chicken nachos and a club sandwich. Very filling and delicious! Also a beautiful view of the volcano when it’s not cloudy.

I loved this place the food was amazing and you get a great view of the volcano arenal! I highly recommend.

Wonderful stop. We left Tabacon hot springs to come here and have lunch before going back. Our server was delightful, she even let us try a “cas” fruit—a sour guava, because we had never seen one before! Highly recommend the cas drink and also the star fruit drink. We ordered an empanada arreglada with chicken which was just ok. I got the patacones with chicken and it was a huge portion and delicious. My partner ordered the tilapia and he loved it. A great experience and extremely affordable. Total with 3 plates and two drinks it was $25 USD.

very nice restaurant with delicious food! and on top of that, the view to Arenal Volcano is amazing (if the Volcano is without clouds)! the fruit shakes are very good too. I can definitely recommend going there for lunch or dinner! we ate traditional casado.

We stopped here on our way from the Arenal volcano hike. We were tired and wet from hiking in the jungle during the rain, but the hot sweet water with tea and sugar cane that the server suggested made it all go away. The location is very open and easy to spot from the road. It might be a little hard to find parking, but you should still stop. The service was top notch and the staff very friendly. They spoke very good english as well. All the premises were very clean.
The food was most definitely the highlight of this place. We got the tostada with fried pork and it was to die for. As was the rice beans and pork dish. Their fresh waters were also delicious. We tried a flavor that we had not seen anywhere before.

Great food at reasonable prices. The staff were very friendly especially trying to manage a full resteraunt. The menu has decent variety, although we stuck with the traditional food which was excellent.
