La Sabana Park

Very nice park with everything that you could ask for. They have fields for playing football, soccer, baseball and volleyball. Additionally there's lots of trails for running and riding your bike. There's also a couple playgrounds for kids.

On the weekends you can sit there and watch several baseball games and soccer games going on with the locals. There's also a couple bathrooms that cost about 300 CRC.

Was the old airport but now an amazing park. Lots of activities and a museum and much more to see

Such a beautiful park to walk or run in the mornings. There are some police in place in some parts of the park. There are also some occasional trash you would see around.

It took us a couple of days to explore just half of the park, but the experience was still amazing. We watched the sun set and walked around many of the attractions and cool artwork for the majority of the time we were there. Great place for people of all ages to hang out, play, work out, or relax.

This is a very nice place to go with family, friends, loved ones, and everyone in between! Entrance is free, and it is pet friendly - you're only encouraged to be careful with their behavior and dispose of their waste.

Great place to do exercise in and breath fresh air. Would definitely recommend the walking trails, where even when raining, there's many trees to keep you dry. And there's eating spots around and inside the park, with many tables or green spaces to eat in the park at. There's also public restrooms, with a cost of less than $1.

A large park in the middle of the town. I enjoyed seeing a clean and green park with different options to do recreational activities.

I come to this park every time I am in San Jose. It's not the biggest, but big enough to keep the city noise down and provide some tranquility. An hour here listening to the birds and resting your eyes on the green grass and trees and I feel recharged to continue on. Great place!

What a wonderful natural park for families especially on a Sunday. Come here relax and watch the people go bye. This is such a great facility for San Jose and Costa Rica. It is well policed and I have never seen any issues here. Below is a picture of a family who invited us to join them when they saw us looking at their family birthday celebrations. My dear wife was in tears of emotion at such a kind gesture.

Definitely a park for everyone. Sports, strolling, jogging, picnicking, etc. It's a beautiful, spacious, place that is safe and clean. On weekends It's filled with families enjoying the CR sunshine and exercise enthusiasts alike. Fun for everyone, free, well-groomed, and quiet.

Big, beautiful park in the heart of San Jose. Good for exercising and people watching.

Now we have a new great park. Pictures belong to Northwest part, near of La Cruz. Vegetation is more tropical than before

Very nice and quiet place, to enjoy nature in the middle of the City of San José, nice big pond closer to the National Stadium of Costa Rica or "The Jewel of the Sabana", there are also pony rides for kids at only US$5= and paddle bots for rent, soccer fields and play grounds all over for kids. Should try it!

A big park to walk around. Has nice places to sit on the grass. Great for running. There is some art and a little lake in the center. Football fields are throughout the park as well. There is a art museum on the east entrance.

Great Venue for concerts. The soccer stadium is very pretty. Felt comfortable un the sorrowdings are parking lots but very expensive.
