Parque Central de San José

While the title says "Central Park," the reality is that this is a cultural plaza with statues honoring the common person and their professions. It's strategic placement is at the Nacional Cathedral, a breath-taking spectacle in of itself. Look for the snow cone vendors, the families, the tourist, and anyone else looking to pass the time in this beautiful a historical plaza. Definitely worth the walk from your hotel to see it and visit the nearby shops and restaurants.

This park is the centerpiece of local culture and meeting place for friends and family, due to its centralized location. And it is an architectural focal point for the Main Cathedral. It is surrounded by local food restaurants and nearby shops. It's accessible is very convenient for sightseers.

Great street to hangout when in San Jose. It is filled with all the different food outlets, Clothes stores. Museums of Costa Rica are located here.

Very nice, small City Park. You hear the parrots in the trees, see the red squirrels. Go inside the beautiful church. Very safe and clean. Locals are very nice people.

I love going to the catedral to church it is a beautiful and peaceful place. Also this park is in the center of the city so you'll be able to walk around. Also in San Jose Costa Rica you can feel very save because we have great and friendly 👮 police and people that are always willing to help.

Inside San Jose downtown, it's a very nice place to visit, clean and safe.

The heart of the city, where undoubtedly you can appreciate the rhythm of life and way of being of the Ticos (Costa Ricans), a place full of people at any time of day and where we can find everything from local to foreign, located next to the Metropolitan Cathedral, Avenida 2 and the Melico Salazar Theatre, the truth is that it is a place with a life of its own and photography required during the visit to the capital of Costa Rica

Brilliant break from the street bustle of New York. We hired bikes from a place by Pier83 and cycled the entirety of Central Park (anti-clockwise).

It was hot (July) but a great way to see the park on a short stopover in New York. The cycle path was very busy but everyone going in same direction and a few rickshaws and horse carriages. The motorised maintenance vehicles drove very slowly and carefully.

It can become very crowded but Central park in San Jose is a great place to relax, and try some local chocolate or pops ice cream. The streets that are near to the park are filled with souvenir shops I picked up some wood key chains.

In the middle of San José downtown, right in front of Melico Salazar National Theater and the cathedral, you will find San José Central Park. Its very nice during the day but you will see rats during night.

Very nice place in the center of the city. Happening and buzzing with lot of energy... lot of police presence making me feel safe but looking at the random checks of police on local boys making me nervous at the same time.
