The staff is very nice and helpful. The bartender won all of our hearts.
The hotel is small but very clean, so are the rooms.
Awesome AC in the rooms, TV and the bathroom was OK.
Also, for an extra $10 you get 3 meals per day and unlimited alcohol so honestly, that is an awesome deal, specially because it was tasty, good food.

If you HAVE to stay in San Jose, i do recommend this place. It is close to Barrio Amon, which is very cozy with nice restaurants and also less than a mile away from the best bars/clubs in the city.

Great location. Kitchen puts out some great food. The front desk and bartenders are the best! Nicest folks in Costa Rica. Darren the manager is warm and genuine.

Been coming here since 2017 and can't say anything bad about this place. Great service, food & price. Walking distance to downtown. I'll be back for sure.

Best bang for your buck! Food is great. No charge for guests and the all inclusive deal is worth every dime. Clean rooms and friendly staff.

I found Hotel La Amistad through an ex pat, while walking through downtown San Jose. After a visit to the hotel I booked the rest of my stay there. I can recommend them for their excellent service and outstanding value.
