Beautiful place, close to Fortuna waterfall and with a view of Arenal volcano. They have a short trail on grounds, it is protected, so felt very safe.
Grounds and rooms are safe, nicely done, gates close at 10pm. Rooms are good size, plenty of parking right in front of your room (they are like smaller lodges, we were in section C). It got pretty dark at night with no lights, then suddenly birds were chirping at 5am you could not get away from.
Town and cafes/restaurants are a 4 min easy drive away

Perfect location and many rooms look out toward Arenal Volcano. There's a lovely, short walking trail that is easy to negotiate. Breakfast is available for $7US per person but there are great places nearby (Red Frog is amazing).

There are several species of birds that hang out around the grounds.

This place was so lovely. We saw toucans, parrots, and other varieties of birds during our 2-day stay. The breakfast was great and the grounds are immaculate. The view of the volcano from the hammock on our porch was amazing! The staff and service was friendly and accommodating.

I had a two night stay at Brisas Areal Hotel and was very pleased with the room and the hotel staff are very friendly and bilingual. There was plenty of hot water for the hot tube that never ran cold. A very satisfying breakfast was served to my room both mornings and if your in the mood for a massage you must ask for Rebecca who will come to your room with a massage table and 9 years of experience and coming from someone who's had hundreds of massages she's a top notch PRO.

Beautiful! There is a little moisture in the rooms causing some discoloration on the ceiling, but not mold, and the occasional insect in the room as well but you're in the middle of the rainforest so I'd be surprised to find any better. The bathroom and open shower concept was very nice, and the jacuzzi with a view was definitely a highlight. The grounds and gardens are peaceful and stunning, not to mention beautiful hiking trails on the property. Will definitely be back.

A family run hotel in the wood. About 8 min drive away from downtown. We have a full view of the Arenal volcano right outside our window. Woke up every morning by the sound of nature. Had breakfast with toucans everyday. Room is clean and roomy. A 30 min walking trail right behind our room lots of mosquito be prepared if you want to go in. The road is very rocky driving up to the hotel but it’s only a couple minutes bumpy ride no big deal. I do recommend to have a car if you’re planning to stay here. It’s much more easier to get around.
Breakfast is great. Watermelon, Papapa, pineapple and banana to start. 4 options for breakfast to choose from. Coffee tea or juice all you want. Simple, tasty and enough to fill us up for the whole morning.
Staff are friendly and helpful!

Hidden paradise near La Fortuna. Wonderful garden with an aceess to rain forest. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean, however because of the high humidity in the region sometimes we could not stand the smell. A mosquito net in the room would be a very good idea to have the option to open the window in the night. In total we very much enjoyed our stay!

The place is like a jungle kingdom, very beautiful, green, with fantastic view of the Arenal volcano. The family are extremely hospitable. We arrived late at night and left very early in the morning and they were ready for us, even at the expense of doing the laundry at 10pm. The location is 10 minutes by car from all the main locations. Breakfast is good and simple, and coffee is from a thermos. I would have loved a cappuccino from a machine. Highly recommended.

We chose Brisas as our home away from home while staying in Arenal. The location was very close to everything we wanted to do in the area. The owner, Carlos, has been very nice to us during our stay. He and his family served breakfast with fruit, which was a good start to the day. The fresh squeezed juices were very tasty and refreshing! The room and bathroom were clean, and we did not have any issues at all! Free Wi-Fi all around the hotel areas, outside as well. Best view of the Arenal volcano is just up by the fence by the dining hall. I got many amazing pictures as the sun rose in the morning, and the volcano was in full view! We got lucky! Also, there are rocking chairs and hammocks outside every room, which made it the best spot to relax, and watch/listen to the birds, which were very abundant at the hotel area. Bring your camera! The toucans and many different birds join you for breakfast!

We stayed in the "Tropical Villa with Jacuzzi", and it was wonderful. This is probably the nicest room they have. It is its own bungalow, with a very nice outdoor shower, a huge indoor shower, and a jacuzzi on the front porch. The porch has an excellent view of the volcano. Great price, great room, great amenities.

This hotel was great. Close to town, but off the beaten path. It's nestled at the foot of the Arenal volcano. In the mornings you can see hummingbirds and hear howler monkeys while relaxing in a hammock and taking in the whole experience. The room was fine, clean and simple, exactly what we expected.

They were so accommodating to us! We loved our stay. We booked our reservation last minute seeing as we were trekking thru Costa Rica on our honeymoon making each new stop a last minute whim decision. David was so helpful and very kind and gracious in helping us with pricing and all the other needs we had. Another employee even helped my husband find a place that would make a birthday cake for me to surprise me with on my birthday. They truly went above and beyond and we enjoyed all of our stay. We wish we would have stayed longer!

Brisas Arenal Lodge is an excellent place to stay if you would like to be close to la fortunate, but still feel like you are secluded from the world. Our room was clean and we had excellent customer service, Alan and Roberto, thank you for all your help. For breakfast you are given multiple choices to choose from, all varying from toast with coffee to your typical Costa Rican breakfast. I would suggest though, you take a 4x4 car because the road to the property is a little rough. All in all, great place, awesome hospitality and close to many amenities, with a car, to many tourist attractions. Would highly recommend this property to all my friends!!

I loved staying here. It is away from the commercial hotels on the main road. It has a very exclusive feel. The cabins are extremely spacious. The bathroom feels like you are in the middle of the rainforest! You wake up with gentle birds chirping all around you. It rained one of the days we were there and I loved the sound of rain on the roof! It just felt like the ultimate getaway surrounded by nature. The staff was welcoming. My only complaint is the internet, it was either very slow or non-existent so beware. It is a little ways from La Fortuna's downtown but shouldn't cost you more than $5-6 for a cab ride. Highly recommend!

Visited in August 2019 and think about this place often. We loved our outdoor shower and waking up to the volcano view and also highly enjoyed breakfast. Best rice and beans and fresh fruit juices. Hope to be back one day

My family stayed at Brisas Arenal while visiting La Fortuna and had a lovely experience. Our room was clean and well-appointed. The grounds of the lodge were immaculate. Breakfast was served in an open-air pergola with a variety of local fruit, fresh brewed coffee as well as choice of breakfast. The typical Costa Rican breakfast was excellent. In the evening we enjoyed dinner at the lodge where the chef made our dinner with fresh local ingredients. He even cut a papaya that we bought at the local supermercado. Everyone at the lodge was welcoming, incredibly friendly, and helpful. This lodge is in a fairy-tale jungle setting at the base of Arenal volcano--a must for any visitor to this area. The flora and wildlife are fantastic. We can't wait to return for our next visit.

We had a really good time there, it s quiet and has a beautiful garden. The staff, especially David is amazingly helpful. I forgot my tablet i the room and we travelled around Costa Rica. David organized the trip for my tablet and it found back to me!

We booked this place through Airbnb. The room we got was great and the service was exceptional. The floor was really slippery though which was kind of funny because we all fell multiple times. The blankets also weren’t super good and there weren’t a ton of towels... but don’t let that deter you because the room was super cool and we really enjoyed the place

My husband and I stayed here for the first part of our honeymoon in La Fortuna. Brisas Arenal Lodge felt very private and romantic. There was both a nice soaking tub and outdoor shower, we were too busy to use either but is a nice touch if you have more time to relax!

We arrived in the night due to some delayed flights. If possible I would recommend coming during the day since the roads are unpaved and a little confusing to get to. Definitely use Waze, it is the most accurate for getting around Costa Rica. I would also recommend getting a 4x4, our little rental car was definitely taking a beating after driving up and down the gravel road several times a day.

The location was perfect! Close to everything and easy access to downtown. I think this was one of the best selling points!

The complimentary breakfast was AMAZING! The coffee, fresh fruit and breakfast selection was perfect and filled us up for most of the day. I would recommend trying the typical Costa Rican breakfast.

Thank you to all of the staff that were super friendly and helped make our trip amazing!
