Maquique Adventure Canyoning and Rafting

Everything, from beginning to end, was an amazing experience with them. Great customer service- Fast response when I had to contact them to cancel my ticket due to an injury and later for the delivery of the photos and videos.
Everyone on the team was very charismatic and energetic. My partner and friends, who did the tour, were amazed with every part of the adventure and how the team handles it. They motivate you, ensure you are comfortable and that you are doing the activities correctly. This is a true exhilarating and unique adventure. Even for me, who stayed on the grounds after the tour began, the experience was great talking with other crew members and the artisan who is on site. Everyone was very attentive and pleasant to talk to. Recommend 200%!

Such an amazing experience. This was the highlight of my trip to Costa Rica! I had no experience rappelling at all but the guides made it such a fun experience. I went with my family who also had no experience either. We felt completely safe the entire time including the end which was a massive waterfall. We also did the whitewater rafting after which was really fun! The whole family had a blast.

Awesome experience canyoning with Maquique Adventures! Our two guides, Kenneth and I don’t know how to spell the other guides name, were fantastic! They showed us so many interesting things about the rainforest as we hiked to our next spots and we even got to see a glass frog. After canyoning, we went back to their restaurant where they had prepared a delicious meal for us. I’d recommend this company to everyone!

Amazing tour and would highly recommend!! Thought it was a bit steep in price at first but it’s worth it for the experience. The last repel could have been the best thing we did all trip!! Extremely helpful with my girls age 7&9 they treated them like they were their own kids. Also very accommodating to me when using my GoPro they would let me go first to catch everyone else and also hook me up on top so I could record on the edge safely!!

This adventure was our favorite part of our vacation. Do the canyoneering, rafting and lunch combo. Everything was amazing. Friendly and informative staff, great food. A fun and safe adventure mixed with some thrills and adrenaline. Highly recommend it!!

Highly recommend this tour and the Maquique company. Tour guides are so genuine and friendly. The whole trip was amazing! There were other companies doing same activity but I would highly recommend Maquique. The area is privately owned by Maquique so only this company can access it. The tour is well organized so you start from easiest to the hardest which is 60m high waterfall. It is overall very exciting but also safe. Maquique also offer lunch and free photos compared to other companies which often charging for those.

We did canyoning and rafting combo today. The best and must do in La Fortuna!
Price was not cheap but worth every penny!
Full of adrenaline yet safe and good for all levels.

Had an amazing time canyoning with Maquiqe! The rappelling and zip lining were super fun and the views were beautiful. The guides were all very nice and experienced. Would definitely recommend it if you want some adrenaline plus it's a great way to beat the heat since you definitely get wet.

This is a breathtaking adventure. Kenneth and Dario are wonderful. We felt very safe, they are very experienced. The knowledge these guides provide on the fauna and flora while we are also learning how you use the equipment is simply invaluable. The adrenaline and excitement of this experience is unforgettable. Our guides Kennethx2 and Grifferson were absolutely incredible and really funny. As experienced rappelers, we were pleased with the safety focus the team had. Everyone had an absolutely blast and learned so much along the way. We got sweet pictures taken by our guides too! Lunch afterwards is also yummy:)

Decided to do the repelling for my 53rd birthday. This was the most thrilling adventure I've done in my life. Our guides Dario n Kenneth were super friendly and very knowledgeable in what they do. They made me feel safe the entire time.

We had the best time repelling and ziplining with our family of 10 ages 8-50. We overcame fears with ease thanks to the many hands on and patient guides. As a free bonus they took photos and videos and emailed a file at the end. The location was stunning and we felt like we had Jurassic Park to ourselves. Avoid the tourist trap nearby and book here for a non rushed and excellent experience. Thanks for the memories.

Had a great time rappelling and canyoning with Maquique! Our guides were fun, knowledgeable, and safe! 5 rappels (including some waterfall descents!), a couple ziplines, and a small hike at the end. Guides took nice photos and videos along the way and emailed them following the tour at no cost! Beautiful views and a lot of fun! 10/10 recommend using this company!

Our family had SO MUCH FUN on our canyoning/rappelling/zip line adventure! The tour guides were professional and super friendly, the scenery and locations were stunning, and the home cooked meal at the end of the day was authentic and delicious. Everything about our experience exceeded our expectations! Everyone in our family is an avid rock climber so we thought this tour might be chill and geared towards low adventure tourism, but we were so excited to see the level of high adventure offered on this tour. We were laughing the entire time in excitement. This was definitely a highlight of our trip!

I joined both canyoning and rafting, these are the best activities that I’ve taken in La Fortuna! It’s sooooo fun!!! And super Mario our rafting guide is super nice, he has a special vibe to make the whole rafting journey unforgettable! Highly recommend!

We had an awesome time canyoning with the Maquique Team. My wife was a little skeptical starting out but was a huge fan by the end. There is a pretty good uphill hike after the 200' waterfall rappel. One family with our group had a 6-year-old who was able to complete the rappelling and ziplining. I would definitely go again when we're back.

Fantastic group of professionals. Focused on safety of their guests while having fun at the same time.

Our group of 3 adults met them at their meeting point for some canyoning. We went through introductions, waivers signed and lunch orders were taken. Next, we got geared up, took a short truck ride to the entrance and hiked briefly to the first rappel.

Good instructions and demonstration at the first stop. A guide up top will help with your descent if you lose control and the guide at the bottom will make sure you don't hurt yourself hitting any walls coming down. They took good care of my 65 year old mother who went through all 5 rappels with some help and 2 zip lines.

The better you are, the less they will intervene, pay attention to their instructions.

Recommend water shoes and swim gear as you will get soaking wet through the hike and rappelling down waterfalls. We all had great fun, especially the last 60m drop.
