The food was absolutely delicious. It was super filling without being too greasy and making me feel sluggish. I had the single burger. The milkshakes were also very delicious. The service was great, really nice guys and the atmosphere was relaxed. The wait time wasn't too long however the restaurant wasnt too full

This is my new favorite restaurant in Potrero! I went for lunch and loved the chicken fajitas. The service was great and I even got to enjoy a nice espresso after my meal. The waiter recommended we come back for dinner and live music in the evening and we actually did and I do not regret the decision. In the back of the restaurant there was a great outdoor seating area with great live music, cold beer, and the best ceviche I’ve had in a while. I also got the arroz con camarones which was huge and delicious. The guys attending are always nice and there to serve well. Highly recommend for a good meal, great service, and great value.

2nd time eating there. Husband had fish and chips. I had the chicken parm sandwich. Very good! Fajitas are also great. Great service too!

I loved the Casado that i ordered here. Huge portion at a low price which in 2024 is hard to find in Costa Rica. Had the pleasure of watching NFL playoffs with my dinner

I came here only for breakfast and the food are really good, the price is fair. I came here two times and the waiter remember us and knows what we want for coffee. The breakfast burrito is my favorite. The Hot Sauce that made by themselves is a must try, the one labeled with B is my favorite as it has the kick after a moment. I strongly recommend to come here for breakfast.

Service is excellent. Manuel very courteous and helpful. I arrived at 9:00 pm. Kitchen closing however Manuel got dinner for me

We had lunch here today. Appetizer stuffed avocado was delicious! The mahi stuffed with shrimp and wrapped in bacon was amazing! My husband had a very tasty beer and the size of my wine glass was twice as much of what you get elsewhere. Overall good experience. Pricey: yes, like as good as everything in touristy areas

The Shack is my favorite place to eat in Surfside Potrero! The service is top notch. The food is consistently delicious and portions are always generous. So many yummy choices for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

I eat here at least once a week, but mostly more than that!!

Best breakfast in Potrero! Quality ingredients, generous portions, and a good selection of hot sauces (also available for sale). Efficient, friendly bilingual staff. Prices are very reasonable. Their naturales (juices) are so refreshing: the lemonade with mint is perfect.

Nice casual dinner spot. The mahi casado was delicious; one of the best fish casados I’ve ever had. Ceviche was really great as well and surprisingly large. Shrimp pasta was also a hit. Our server was Emanuel, and he was very friendly. Hoping to come back for breakfast.

No words to describe this place… Like I can’t find the words to describe how amazing the food and drinks were. You just have to come try it. We ordered the house special of the Mahi tacos and the tenderloins and both were extraordinary. Their hard seltzer drinks were so refreshing with just the hit of local aguas frescas… like i said you need to experience this for yourself to really find the words of how great this place really is. 💯 out of 10… absolutely superb!

What a gem of a spot! The best fish sandwich I’ve ever had - on a delicious ciabatta bun that melted in your mouth. Highly reccomend to come here!!

Delicious, made to order, great value. Me and my group came for breakfast and I must say the breakfast food here never disappoints.

From the quality to the value, this is a great casual option for a nice hearty meal and a strong cup of coffee. If you are visiting, give this local spot a go for breakfast.

The Shack has amazing food! We came for lunch & got the specials — me mahi & shrimp tacos & my husband a blackened tuna sandwich. The jalapeño poppers are also delicious! We loved this spot. They are also super friendly to the cute dogs which says a lot!

Good size portions of tasty food. Had the red snapper, fajitas, and shrimp on two separate visits. Drinks were delicious including the award winning chiliguaro. Friendly staff and good place to hangout with friends.

My wife and I ate at The Shack twice during our visit to the Potrero area. The service was awesome - everyone was friendly and helpful. The food was delicious (I was needing some ‘American (US) food’ after being in CR for almost 3 weeks, do I can say the chicken fingers with honey mustard dipping sauce and fries fit the bill and are delicious. My wife had the mahi filet and loved it. The covered but open air restaurant has a great vibe. A great little place all in all.

The breakfast menu is amazing. The Tipico and Huevos Rancheros are great. The Ranchero eggs are spicy, they use jalapenos so be careful if you don’t like spicy breakfast.

The portions were big and the food was really tasty. The tuna steak was delicious cooked rare. Strongly recommend it.
