Maza Bistro

Wonderful outdoor breakfast GEM that was a total surprise!

Everything was fresh, delicious, and served by a great wait staff.

Can't wait to come back again and try the "picnic lunch" option, where they'll actually give you a picnic basket and blanket to take across the street to the park!

We started our Costa Rican trip with Maza Bistro. From the airport we went straight to this place after a red-eye flight and what a warm welcome we received! The guy at the reception was doing everything and his hospitality won our hearts. The coffee was awesome and the ceviche was just mouth-watering! And of course how super cute the cafe itself was!!

Excellent place, with great service and delicious food. The gin & tonic was perfect, and the burger I ordered was great. One of the few places in San Jose to eat outdoors in a great setting. Highly recommended

Outstanding Bistro, funky secondhand furniture and decoration, great cocktails and delicious food, attentive, friendly service and very reasonably priced.

The food is fantastic, drinks are good and it's super cute.

Great brunch place but a bit pricey

"Woke" trendy vibe here, sharing the patio with a hostel, but don't let that fool you. Great food, decent service, slightly overpriced, but good quality. I'm a foodie and I know food, so this is definitely the place to go for breakfast. Fruit bowl is fantastic, and so are the pulled pork egg breakfast dishes. Check the hours before you go, they close away 530 and 330 on the weekends. Went there twice in a row, and will return. Nice 90s alternative music playing through speakers. Across from a park, and not that much traffic on the street.

Great spot just off the Parque Nacional. Deservedly popular for breakfast, be aware there are only eight tables or so here. One quibble, they don't serve espresso or espresso style coffee drinks.

Superb food. Well sourced and clearly thought through dishes showcasing Costa Rican flavours. A tad pricey but we'll worth it. Excellently sourced local beers (making a good change from Pilsner and Imperial).

All I can say is wow! Definitely a hidden gem glad we stopped by here. Best food and service I've ever had in Costa Rica! Well done!
