Amazing handmade pizza. They know how to make Neapolitan pizza. Fresh tasting and super fresh ingredients. We had the focassia and for pizzas we ordered the De la Porchetta y Don Pepe. Everything was amazing and I can’t wait to go back so others am an taste the awesome pizza. Bravo! Sorry I only got one picture of a whole pizza because once they tasted the pizza everyone turned into savages 😂

Well above average pizza shop! By that I don't mean above average for CR....I mean above average on a global scale. I've had much worse pizzas in Brooklyn, Manhatten, and Rome.
Situated across from a quiet park in a classically designed space Pizza Oliva is a superb find. If you're looking for pizza in San Jose....you simply won't find better. Try their hot/spicy honey--its splendid.

Visited for lunch while in San Jose and was very glad I did. The pizza was great, the staff were very friendly, and I enjoyed the outdoor seating with views of the park across the street. Would definitely return. Note they are only open for lunch on weekends, otherwise, dinner only. Recommended.

Best pizza we had in Costa Rica. Fresh ingredients and real Italian taste, we loved it.
Price is comparable to other Costa-Rica places, but prepare to pay 50 dollar for 2 pizza margarita’s & 2 soda’s.

Wow, ,wow, wow! Some of the best artisan pizza I have ever had! The moscow mule is fantastic and extremely refreshing. The service is extremely family friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!

Good pizza, good sangria, cute restaurant, very attentive and friendly service. They have both indoor and outdoor seating and face the park. I had one there and got one to go for lunch the next day. Definitely give their spicy honey a try - it's delicious.

Best pizza in town for sure. The drinks are really good too (wildberry is really sweet). The prices are according to the quality you are getting).

Super cute little pizzeria with great pies. Top quality ingredients and a well made/cooked crust. It feels like the small family-run pizzerias you'll find in Italy.

The owners are native English and Spanish speakers (menus come in both languages), very friendly and helpful.

Some of the reviews below mention price as a factor, but perhaps they're comparing this restaurant to cheap fast food pizza places in the States? I haven't found a good quality pizza for less than $20-30 and these are half that price.

The location is perfect as it's a short walk from the National Museum and right across the street from the National Park. I had a terrific meal and will definitely be going back.

This is a wonderful restaurant. They offer a wide variety of pizzas including a delicious vegan option. The beer choices are excellent and the staff is outstanding. We were visiting San Jose and came across this restaurant on a Google search and decided to give it a try. I highly recommend it.

The most amazing place to eat. Tasty pizza, you must taste the sodas !!! Out of this world !! Nothing compared from we are used to !!!

Been a good few years when we visited but we were in Costa Rica for our honeymoon and wandering around the amazing city of San Jose when we wandered and sat down here for a spot of lunch.

Greeted cheerfully, food ordered and it was very tasty.

What made the trip so memorable was the host; chatted with us, found out we were from Scotland and we shared a love of his favourite ever band,The Blue Nile.

Don't know if you remember us but we remember you and Pizza Oliva.

Pura Vida

You literally have to go! This place broke our brains perception of pizza. This is our last day in Costa Rica and I’m so sad that I may never have this pizza again or be able to replicate it again. I’ve never had a pizza that good and I hand make pizzas at home. We left absolutely nothing on our plate. Everything was perfect and I don’t say that lightly! This was the only thing my boyfriend and I could talk about on our walk home. I highly highly recommend this place!

Great pizza, charming staff, reasonably priced. A brilliant find in a huge city!

Might be biased based on one of the most wonderful comprehensive experiences of my life. That said, me and friends were craving wood fired pizza and craft beer for our last night in CR and Pizza Olive did not disappoint! The pizza was quick and delicious, beer was great and the mini salad was 👌🏻 highly recommend for a solid spot.

we had been on the road for 5 month through central america and this is definitely the best pizza we had so fare! it’s like the real one ;-)
we have a 4 years old daughter that asked for pizza at least once a week, so we consider ourselves experienced pizza “snuffler”

This pizza is delicious! The crust is light and chewy, and slightly crispy. Perfect!

The Spicey Honey infused dip is amazing on any pizza and has forever changed the way I will eat my pizza from now on.

My favorite pizza place in CR. Not just the place, but the food is amazing and the place's setup is perfect to enjoy a great conversation. This is great artisan pizza with top quality ingredients, in a beautiful place. 100% recommended. By the way, try the pesto presto pizza, you'll just love it!
