What a great experience. I just flew back to the States this morning, and I'm very happy with the results so far. My experience was very nice from the front desk to the dentist and assistant. Everybody was so kind and patient. The equipment was state of the art with fantastic CT scans both before and after. They were also very honest and straightforward with the pricing. I was anxious arriving in San José for the first time, but I didn't want to leave by the end! I can't wait to return in six months for the crowns.

After decades of battling loose or missing teeth, struggling with dentures and literally loosing my smile over the years, I contacted Meza Dental. After answering a few questions online, Dr. Meza contacted me and explained all aspects of all-on-4 implants.
I live in Texas and all I had to do was get a 360 x-ray and email it to their office.
The process was so easy. I am a single female traveling alone and I was taken care of from the moment my flight landed to the moment I waved goodbye and boarded the plane with a lovely new smile.
Meza Dental has a dedicated travel department who ensured my lodging and all transportation including airport transfers, all private transportation to and from appointments and first class accommodations within my budget.
Meza Dental uses all the most advanced 3D imaging, procedures, technology and equipment in their office. I was astounded their offices were more advanced than my doctors in the US. The procedure was performed more precisely than imaginable and at 1/5th the amount as quoted in the US. Some dentists in the US are trying to offer low-rate implants but they do not offer anything comparable to Meza Dental.
All the doctors, technicians, dental assistants, administrators, private driver and laboratory artisans who create the implants were incredible to work with and answered all my questions happily and thoroughly. In addition to their expertise they are kind, professional, knowledgeable and caring. They are dedicated to their work and their clients. I’m happy to say any dental work I may need in the future, Dr. Meza will be my choice.
Dr. Meza and his staff have restored my confidence and certainly my self-esteem. After years of shying away from smiling at all, MEZA DENTAL gave me reason to smile all the time!!!

So if you need a reason to come to Costa Rica besides fleeing winter, here's one; Excellent and affordable dental care. I just had 3 broken crowns replaced with solid porcelain ceramic crowns, a cavity refilled, a cleaning, and a full set of x-rays for $2,070. That included free pick-up and delivery from my hotel each day. Also my crowns were ready 2 days after the impressions were done! Meza Dental is amazing! Everyone was friendly and professional. Dr. Marianella Marin who did the work on me and made my smile better has more than 10 years of experience and excellent credentials. She and her assistant Mariela took great care of me during the process. Dr. Alberto Meza who apparently grew up in the business also made sure to greet me and make me feel welcome as well. Dr. Meza and his entire staff were extremely friendly. I loved how often I would hear the phrase “excuse me” as they would begin working in my mouth.

This was my fourth visit to Meza Dental and I have been delighted with the whole team every time.

The office is clean and well-maintained, and very modern.

Over the years, I had ground my teeth down to the point of being embarrassed even to open my mouth. After years of dealing with not smiling in social and professional situations, I started researching Costa Rica dental options which are well known across the Globe. I researched many and came across Dr Meza and the Meza Dental clinic. Their reviews were great (and well deserved believe me) and took a chance after consulting with the Meza Clinic and his staff member Dr Jose Umana through the phone and internet. We planned the trip and I went. I was surprised at how easy they made it to be picked up from the airport and hotel to get to his office visits ..His staff is fantastically organized. The second thing I noticed was how beautiful his office and his staff are. It was like every single person there was not only attractive, but extremely friendly. Id really compare it to a Costa Rican version of a Hollywood 90210 episode.
The real thing, I believe, that sets Dr Meza and the Meza Clinic staff apart from other dentists is their work ethic. They were so professional and detailed. Yes..they are much better priced than American dentists, but that's not the real reason for writing this review. I can honestly say Dr. Meza is really more of an artist than just a cosmetic dentist. His work is amazing. Everyone who looks at my teeth are just blown away by the detail. In fact, like alot of his other clients that I talked to while there, I'll just go to Costa Rica from now on when in need of dental work and make it a vacation. I thank Dr Meza and the complete Meza staff..it has been a life changing event for me.

After my dental case was rejected by many cosmetic dentists in the States, my diligent research led me to an option I had not previously considered; dental tourism.

Upon my discovery and confirmation of like credentials and accreditation of those who turned me down in the US, I had no reason not to put my faith in Dr Alberto Meza for my official smile make over.

I am happy to report that my first cosmetic tour was a fantastic experience and the extensive cosmetic veneer work performed by Dr Meza is incredible!

I received 20 Emax porcelain veneers, X-rays, molds, mock up, photos, dental cleaning, and mouth guard.
However, the work to create the illusion of a beautiful smile was challenging.
Dr Meza confidently informed me of the risk involved with creating an illusion to mask my significant cross bite and I agreed to move forward.

My final lab work resulted in a 1 mm lengthening, an oval shape with embrasures, BL2 shade from the bleach series, slight translucency along with slight undulations (ridges) veneer.
Making the final decision was not an easy one and Dr Meza and his team patiently assisted me during the decision-making process. Everyone on staff from scheduling to the result were professional and helpful in every way.

I scheduled my case about 6 weeks in advance via email. I forwarded a copy of most recent X-rays and selfie pictures of my smile and my consultation was completed by email and confirmed by telephone.

I arrived in Costa Rica May 7 and left the evening of May 18. My bite work was completed on my last day there.

Pick up to and from the airport and back and forth from all appointments was arranged by the office reception.
Very comfortable Mercedes Benz sprinter. When the sprinter and driver were busy or unavailable, an Uber was arranged in its place. I felt safe during my stay in Costa Rica.

My consultation was immediately upon my arrival and I was given a schedule of my upcoming appointments along with what exactly would be performed during that time. Everything happened as planned with some minor changes by an hour or so on a couple of days. No worries as I was there solely for my time with Dr Meza.

There was an intermittent 5-day period between my next appointment. These were the days my veneers were being made. During that time, I spent 4 days in Montezuma and Santa Teresa. I had an amazing time. Places I would have never ventured to had I not chosen dental tourism.
I did travel alone and stayed at a safe Hotel for my entire trip and I will honestly say that Costa Rica is very safe country, and if you go alone, you will feel safe too.

To keep honest, I will tell you the procedure is not for the faint of heart. You are in the chair for up to 3 hours for 2-3 of those days. For ME, I had lots of sensitivity and needed to be numbed. The chair is uncomfortable after long periods and your jaw is sore after your mouth being opened for a long time. There is a price to pay.
Understand going in you may need to address any issues with your dental health before even getting to veneers.
Luckily for me structurally my teeth were in perfect condition. And I left with my dental health in the same condition.

Overall, a fabulous experience with a knowledgeable astute dentist who I was able to effectively communicate my desires, and he executed a comprehensive plan with optimal results achieved.

Keep in mind I am submitting this review 8 months post, after my dental cleaning and 6-month check-up in the States and everything is going well, and my veneers are beautiful, and my teeth and gums are in the same healthy state.

The entire staff, from Rebecca the office manager, who is a treasure, to Jose, the very friendly and very prompt driver, and the dental team are all professionals. I had implant surgery and a new set of upper teeth installed and everything met all my expectations. Dr Umana is a talented doctor. His thoroughness, attention to detail , and patience in taking the time to explain every aspect of the procedure is testimony to his dedication and professionalism . I could not be happier with the care and service I received at Meza. I recommend them to anyone in my situation who wanted to combine reasonably priced implants with an opportunity to travel in Costa Rica. I hope I won't need implants again, but if I do, I'll return to Meza without hesitation.

I spent a long time researching dentists in Costa Rica and found Dr. Meza to be the best for what I was looking for. I was certainly not disappointed! From the moment I connected with them on email to when I arrived at the airport by the lovely Jose. The whole experience was amazing! The staff are extremely professional and now to my new smile :) I am absolutely overjoyed with how my smile looks. I had porcelain veneers and a few crowns done. The procedure was smooth and Dr. Meza and his team were so lovely to me and I was extremely comfortable during the whole process. I have not been to a dentist in a very long time. Due to some really bad past experiences, I avoided dentists as much as possible. However, I recently lost a crown that was over 20 years old. I also felt my 5 other crowns were coming loose so I had no choice but to go have the one that came off repaired. I decided to check into complete mouth dental implants. I went to a well known local dentist and found out my teeth were still in good enough shape to just get the crowns replaced, teeth cleaned and whitened, and he told me I had gum issues and needed two other crowns to teeth that had cavities. Total cost $31,000.00. WHAT???

That is when I decided to check into dental tourism as I had heard from someone it was way less expensive. I did some research and decided to take a chance and do the dental tourism. After reading many reviews etc., I chose Meza Dental in Costa Rica. I picked up my X-rays and CT scan from my local dentist and sent it to them for review. I soon received a video appointment with Dr. Umana which was great. From the first contact with them, I was very impressed. They offered to assist in arranging my lodging etc., and upon my arrival, they arranged transportation from the airport to my hotel, and to and from every appointment.

Upon my first exam I was told I did not need all of the work my local dentist had told me I needed. I was not at all surprised my local dentist tried to do way more than I needed. I went with the plan Meza chose and that included removal and replacement of my 5 old crowns. During that process, I needed a new root canal and a redo of an old root canal so they could place posts in the teeth to allow them to build up the teeth so they could hold the crowns properly. I had my teeth cleaned and whitened and they recommended a mouth guard for when I sleep because I grind and clinch my teeth which I am now using, and by the way, all of this dental work with absolutely ZERO pain. Amazing.

One of the most amazing things was how Dr. Umana informed me about things I never ever knew and should have been told by any one of the many dentists I have used over the years. One of which was that my crowns were not loose, my teeth were loose because my bottom teeth were hitting my old crowns on my upper teeth causing my teeth to loosen. After all of the work I had done, the cost of my flights, lodging, etc., I did not spend the $31,000.00 my local dentist wanted to charge, but after everything, I only spent $5500.00 with Meza. My other expenses including flights, lodging etc, was about $1800.00 so all total about $7300.00, incredible savings and I had a wonderful trip to Costa Rica.

I honestly can not describe in words how appreciative I am and how impressive this practice is. I mean ever single person is amazing. Thanks to the great care I received I no longer have fear of dentists. I would give them 100 stars if I could that is how amazing they are. For the first time in probably 20+ years, I smile like crazy and I never smiled before due to my ugly teeth. My teeth now look like they did 30 years ago. I highly recommend them to anyone needing any kind of dental work, they literally changed my life...

I had a full restoration done and the services were outstanding. Everything was explained in detail and all my questions and concerns were addressed. From the staff setting the appointments, arranging transportation, and checking on me after my appointments, the service was top notch. Dr. Meza was extremely professional and has a great bed-side manner. He was very personable and it was a pleasure to have him as my doctor. If you are looking to get any dental work done, I do not think you could do better than Meza Dental Clinic.

My wife and I have been seeing Dr Meza and his staff for a few years now. I must say we are very pleased with their care. Very thorough in their explanations, gentle touch, excellent care at affordable prices. Especially in comparison to US prices. Can squeeze in a tropical vacation in addition to world class dental care for what we would spend back home just on the dental care.

Update June 2023. Just visited Dr Meza again in his Cancun clinic. I am so very impressed with Dr Meza. Just got 3 new implants. Quick, efficient and relatively painless. Dr Meza and his staff always take such excellent care of my wife and I. I highly recommend them for your cosmetic and implant needs.

Dr Meza's reviews online are what made me decide on him for a full mouth restoration but I still had reservations. It seemed too good to be true and I kept waiting on the other shoe to drop. Seven months later and my second visit done I still have yet to find anything negative about my experience. From Rebecas helping to make certain all the details of my trip were smooth to Alejandro and his wife handling all my transportation needs, his staff always goes above and beyond. As far as Dr Meza himself, I have never met another dentist who drive for excellence was only overshadowed by his concern for patient care. Prior to me even scheduling a visit he sat with me on the phone for 45 minutes to discuss my case and only hung up when I was comfortable with his treatment plan. At all times I was made to feel that I was the top priority. I lived for a decade with a mouthful of broken teeth. Thanks to Dr Meza and his amazing team I have once again started living life not having to constantly worry about my dental health. For anyone contemplating dental tourism I strongly recommend Dr Meza. You will not regret the decision.
