This one of several around the area but the biggest. Very popular for photos with el Castillo in the backdrop.

Got to finally see this Statue, but was not in the best area of the city.

Great spot for a frosty cheap beer, waitress is speedy and you will never go thirsty

The “India Catalina” monument is closely linked to the International Film Festival of Cartagena, lead by Victor Nieto in 1959. He wished to create a statuette similar to the Oscar's for the festival. The idea of India Catalina as the subject of the statue was that of Eduardo Lemaitre ans is was erected in Catalina, honoring a woman who was an Indiginous Spanish translator to Pedro de Heredia and was built by the sculptor Eladio Gil. It is a very popular tourist attraction, of which the people of Cartagena are very proud!

Nice space, busy traffic area just outside of the Walled City on the way to Castillo San Felipe.

It’s a cute little park area. Not really anything to do there, and almost nothing to block the sun. Would not hang out there at night as it isn’t the safest place to be.

For some reason I don't yet know, La India Catalina has a monument at the entrance of the Center. It is definately a must see in Cartagena. It's just right at the entrance for the Center so you can take some picture with her and then keep walking to the Center.

Okay so when you are in Cartagens and people tell you to go to the bus station... This is what they're talking about as long as they don't say the Terminal de transporte which is on the far East end of town and that's where you catch all the bus rides to other locations in Colombia.

So right across from the statue of the Indian is a corner and all the buses stop at that corner from all over town... so don't look for a building when people say the bus station down near the statue of the Indian because there is no building it's the corner right across where the woman on the statue was looking in that direction...

Much better and cheaper (for free) than Castilo San Felipe.

Beautiful monument located just outside of the old city walls. Point of reference for Public transport to Boca Grande, airport and close by beaches.

Beautiful park, the India was at a rough space before but now the plaza around and the view to the bay it's lovely
