Mamma Nui

We have been only to the restaurant. It has been one of the best evenings we had during our vacation. Only a handful of other customers came that evening, which we cannot understand. It might be because there is no seaview, but that seems overrated on an island, that lets you see the ocean all day long anyways. The menu has maybe the best vegetarian options on the whole island. Some of us also had meat or fish and just everything was delicious. Besides the very good pisco sour, they also offer quite the choice of beers and wines. The staff is super friendly, the interior makes you feel very comfy. Did you also feel like the whole island plays the same kind of music all over? This restaurants choice of music is exquisite. Please try this restaurant once during your stay, they absolutely deserve full house every night.

Really good food and reasonably priced. A real bonus is this place has some great craft beers, which you can't really find anywhere else on the island. Had a west coast IPA from Mowa brewery (near Santiago) and it was great.

Very nice restaurant with comfortable arrangements. Food was fresh and special and delicious and they had options for vegetarians. Music was very special and great, felt like home. Very friendly people and pisco was the best on the island

Really enjoyed the food and vibe of this restaurant. Good vegetarian choices for my hubby and excellent menu with a wide variety of options. I had the tuna steak with shrimp and French fries. Fanciest fish and chips I’ve ever had. Delicious!

Great food and friendly service. We spent New Year’s Eve here and were treated like family. 100% recommend.

We had a great dinner at Mamma Nui last night. This is a family business with the man greeting us and providing friendly service, and the women working wonders in the kitchen. We had seafood pasta dishes which were outstanding. The venue is laidback and very very nice. They even have live music on some nights (ie this Friday to which we will go!!). Thank you for a great dinner!

Excellent place!
We just ate at the restaurant, so this review is solely based on the restaurant.
The food was pretty good but the service was above and beyond.
The owner was really accommodating not just with the food (Some of the food we ordered wasn’t in the menu, but they made an effort to get it for us) but also with the place itself, we were able to watch a football game we had no hope of watching (Because we were in Rapa Nui and we didn’t expected the NFL to be popular there) thanks for the determination and kindness of the owner, he even let us stayed until the end of the game!

Food, drinks, service superb. All 10 from 10. Highly recommended.

This is an absolutely great restaurant in the town. It is away from the main drag. You can tell the chef takes pride in his food and he is incredibly personable. He is very accommodating to eating needs and as a former resort chef, he really knows how to perform at a level above most on the island.

As for the location, it is not the most central, but everything is a short walk in the town. There is indoor and out door seating and you can see the water crashing from the porch.

He has a wood fired grill and oven to make great food right under the sun.

IF you are up for it, the owner and his wife also run a small lodging / glamping business on the other part of the property.

Plenty of good Food. Especially the pasta.

Out of 5 restaurants I ate at with excellent ceviche, this was the best I had on the island. Definately worth the short walk from the main drag. Safe, friendly, tv, fans, full bar.

Probably our favorite meal in Rapa Nui. Laid-back atmosphere. The owner came to check on why my husband didn't finish all of his lamb -- which was simply because the dish was huge!

Good food, I try a plate with local fish, coconut and pineapple. The restaurant is very exotic and beautiful. Good atmosphere

They have 'colaciones' during lunch hours, amazing staff and good beer, this place is a must in the island

Went there twice and both meals were fantastic

I had the grilled octopus and it was tasty.
