Kootenay Co-op Grocery Store

I've never seen apartments built over a grocery store before. Nice! We fell in love with the amazing deserts and the Sap Sucker drinks. Also, I thought that they have a wonderful recycling system outside of the store. Great job! I will recommend. Thanks.

Stopped in while in town, and was blown away at the breadth and quality of the products sold here. A large amount of food and supplies for health minded people. Some common items like soaps, peanut butter are available in a BYO container fashion. A large cafe.

One of the coolest grocery stores out there. We are proud members and attend the AGM online, even though we live in the East Kootenays and only get to buy from the coop a few times a year.

Always awesome produce, meats, and the choice of great bulk spices, great self care items, all natural, all around everything you'd need for groceries and more. Great customer service in addition to all the great products. Very clean and well stocked.

The Kootenay Coop is a great place to catch up with friends, There is ample outdoor seating along the west edge of coop outdoor parking. I've heard rumors of an ad-on outdoor seating area for the cafe, overlooking Vernon Street.

The staff are friendly and helpful.

Great selection of natural foods

Very helpful staff, especially a man named Peter, gave some excellent suggestions on some food we were trying to find.

I was beyond stoked when i went here to shop with my husband. This is a high quality health food grocer that carries lots of local foods and it also has a wide array of health food.

I came to Nelson specifically for this store. It has many more options than our small alternative health store in creston (which I also love!).

The store is large, inviting and busy. The highlight for me was truly the choices. I was looking for varieties of sauerkrat and found many. I was also looking for trace minerals. A very large bottle is $55 in Creston. I had choices of many sized bottles at different price points at Kootenay Coop.

This is forever on my list, every time I visit Nelson.

Visiting Nelson this is the MUST SEE grocery store. Tons of delicious local goodies. Prices are reasonable for the quality of the food. Always clean and well stoked. Heaps of variety for all dietary needs. Glad this place exists....and their chocolate selection is on point.
