Calgary Co-op Montrose Food Centre

As Co-ops go, this is in keeping with the high quality of goods I expect to find.
It is also nice, modern and kept really clean!
What is really awesome are the manager's specials that I keep finding in the meat department. Given the cost of meats these days, these deals make a huge difference when buying for a household of 4 adults.
That they post usable coupons to further reduce the cost is amazing!
I buy my boneless & skinless chicken thighs here for less than I find them at Walmart/Costco/Superstore and the quality is much higher.

Now, granted, many items are pricier than those other options, but, if when paying attention to the sales, etc. I save money. And, given that the nearest of the other places mentioned are a 45 min round trip away, it makes sense for me to check here first.

I love Co-op, everyone is willing to chat and are super friendly. The produce section is always the best in High River, the prices are always the highest in town but you're paying for quality.

I wanted to take a moment to give a big shout out and a huge thank you to your meat manager Brad. I was on the hunt for some “Tomahawk” style steaks for a special treat/ occasion for my son and I and Brad really delivered! Not only did he source them out, but he went and picked them up for me and had them ready within minutes of me arriving at the store. He also provided me with some other options too as the Tomahawks were a little pricey, but I decided to go big and I’m so happy I did as the steaks were amazing! If you ever need a special or custom order for meat, I highly recommend going to see Brad as he is extremely friendly, knowledgeable and very resourceful. Thank you Brad for helping me out with my request. You made my son and I’s celebration one to remember for sure! Greatly appreciated!

This is an excellent grocery store. There are always excellent sales, and the sales clerks are super friendly and helpful. Everything is clean and well organized.

Thanks guys, awesome visit! Just visited and a young man met us at our camper, started pumping fuel then cleaned the windshield for us! We also refilled our propane tank which was $1.15/lb at the time of writing this which has been on the cheaper side from where we have been, we could pay by weight with the propane too which was awesome so thanks for a nice stop :)

The pharmacy in this store is exceptional. Everyone is friendly & knowledgeable. A family member is getting much needed advanced medicine now, thanks to advice from the pharmacy manager. The groceries are over all more expensive; however the meat/bakery/produce sections are superb.

Nice grocery store, has everything needed....good parking, as well as the gas station and liquor store there.

This place us tidy and staff are working hard just like other COOP stores in Calgary.

I was at this Co-op store yesterday to pick up items I cannot get in town. Friend was with me from Texas and she picked up things they cannot get at home. Love this Co-op. I always find everything we need from a grocery store. Staff are always so helpful and always Smiling, including today!

Always seems to have nice fresh fruits that look good. Parking never seems to be a issue. Store is kept very clean. Staff Always seems to be friendly. The meat looks good and also Always seems to be fresh. Coffee cream is always reasonably priced. I find the odd item to be a little overpriced, but overall well worth it to buy groceries here. I really like the chicken currie found here, and is great for when time is short and a bite to eat is needed right away.

Great selection of grocery items. Good meat department and a very large fresh produce department. There's an instore pharmacy as well. After shopping, you can get fuel and a car wash at the Gas Bar, along with any snacks you might need. Nice clean store. They also carry the Co-op house brand of products that are very good quality. An overall good place to shop with lots of parking too.

The quality of produce is excellent, it is great to see the local products on the shelves. This store is well managed with regular competitive sales on coffee, cereal, snacks, and large quantity packages. There is always a nice selection of products to choose from, from Centsibles/Gold brand to popular brand names.

Well stocked. Well organized and clean store, great selection of meats, the bakery makes fantastic deserts.

If you need a good cream pie, I recommend the bakery. These guys know how to fill a pie! The coconut is the best.

It's a great place for pies and pastries. Their fresh Butter Chicken always hits the spot.
It's a great all around place for groceries.

Best veggie and fruit selection i have seen in a grocery store, everything is super fresh. Good deals on meat at times. Usually pretty friendly checkout clerks and the lines are usually not long

Excellent grocery store. Fresh vegetables, good selection of fresh, quality meat. Clean, friendly and my to go store for specialty foods in a country town. My fav store South of Calgary.

I phoned the grocery manager to see if there would be gluten free flour in their inventory and there was. Calgary Coop no longer has their own brand of gluten free flours so I had to drive all the way to High River but got excellent service!

Beautiful store, employees super friendly. Best produce always but it does come at a premium, but at least not throwing away 2 days later
