Staff are always friendly and helpful. No pretentiousness, just a solid spot.

When it comes to spirits and wine I’m a gawker. I come in thinking one thing and then get distracted by 50 other things.

Shyann and team helped me stay on the right track and get a unique and cool bottle of spirits in a tight time crunch. She asked me my price range, types of spirits I was looking for and once we had a wheelhouse, she listed off some unique bottles in the store. She gave the time I needed to think it thru and it was pressure free. At the till, her partner was friendly with other clients, the store just had a great vibe. Finally they were able to wrap the bottle which was a super nice touch.

This store is local and does a lot of work with the community. Can’t recommend it high enough.

Amazingly good selection for beers compared to be many of the other smaller stores in the area. I also really like to see they are supporting many great independent Canadian breweries and distilleries, rather than capitalizing on the Molson "craft" brands which are all, arguably, total sellouts and lacking in quality anyways.

Staff are also super nice, and they always have various boxes ready to go for those awkwardly sized orders where a bag just won't cut it. A+

I had an amazing first time experience at Highlander! As a novice in Wine and Spirit, Franklin, one of the staff literally gave me one of my best customer service experiences I have ever had!

We walked through the store while he gave me interesting tidbits and introductions to various products. He talked about his favorite drink, how it's made, and why it is a good product. He mentioned which staff had specialized knowledge in particular products from a country. For example, he said that, Nate is his go to guy about Japanese liquor because of his travels in Japan.

Overall, I had a great time here and I definitely see myself coming back to try another recommended drink. Oh, I didn't mentioned, Franklin convinced me to try the Valpolicella 2017 as my first introduction to Italian wine, so I bought it. Hasn't tried it yet, but I know it'll be good!

I am a regular customer. The staff are very well informed, helpful, courteous and respectful. Always eager to help with any request. These days when other businesses are offering mediocre service and blaming covid, Highlander has stepped up its customer experience.

Biggest problem with these guys is getting the weekly offers emailed to you - too many temptations! Good folks, great selection and when they have a sale you can get some pretty sweet (or dry) wine deals. if you register and earn points it pays back pretty quickly too.

One of the best selections of scotch and wine on the city. The staff is very knowledgeable and courteous when your wanting to try something new or are having guests over for dinner and need a good pairing.

Of all the Highlander Wines in the city this one is the best. Best selection of everything and also for some reason if you have a corporate account the discount here is the most among the rest... which doesn't really make sense

Good selection and great sales. It’s fun to go in without a particular thing in mind, and leave with whatever is on mega sale at that time. If you don’t take advantage of a sale, the prices are still good, but you can get a better deal at larger stores.

Going here for years, monthly wine packs have really increased my knowledge of wine. Staff very friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend.
