Calgary International Airport

A very massive airport with multiple daily flights. Flights from this airport connect major destinations in Canada such as Toronto, Vancouver, Edmonton, Saskatoon, Regina, etc. It also serves as a port of entry (POE) for major international airlines from all over the world. Staff courtesy is top notch, and easy to navigate. Airport is peaceful and quiet. Really nice!

I was most impressed by the various types and areas of comfortable seating. During a long layover, these lounge areas are so appreciated. The airport has an abundance of natural lighting, clear views of incoming/ outbound flights, and a view of the city skyline. If you're traveling with the elderly, children, or anyone with a disability the frequent flow of shuttles will be very helpful.
Food options are the typical corporate giants. Alberta is beef country, so you will find a few good choices for steaks and burgers. Shopping for clothes is somewhat limited, but there are some options for a jacket if you're not prepared for the Alberta winter temperatures. For the art enthusiasts, there are plenty of paintings, sculptures, mosiacs, and large installations.

This is a very nice airport, but there were a few gate changes while we were making our connection through YYC, but that comes with any major airport. The transport vehicles in-terminal were very handy from getting to the A gates to the C gates. Lots of restaurants and shopping. Very pleasant time connecting through YYC and will look forward to the next time I visit!

I appreciate Starbucks at almost every gate. C, D and B. I had to go to all the gates because it was switched twice but I noticed they had Starbucks available at all 3 which was nice. Even though I was irritated by all the gate switching.

Security area could be updated to the 3 sectioned tray so 3 people can load the conveyor belt at one time.

I liked the baggage drop off for WestJet. Self-weigh and drop off was great.

YYC also has a lot of murals on the wall and make the airport more aesthetic.

Cleanest airport we've ever visited.

YYC has earned a spot on our favorite airports list, along with PDX, SFO & FRA.

YYC could teach AMS lessons on running a smooth Customs, and Security Department.

Beautiful place, polite border control. Culture shock alert for my West African brethren: Toilet bowls are wider almost half filled with water and guess what? It's almost always single flush😂

Not fancy but the staff is super polite and very fast. One terminal and one gate. I wish all airports were this easy.

Calgary airport is one of the cleanest airports I've ever been to. More than enough people to help you when you need it. When you compare this airport from airports from other countries, you really begin to realize how much better it is.

Huge place, great service and staff, quick access to information on flights with various restaurants to pick from. Restrooms are clean and located in various parts of the airport.

Great overall airport. It is nice where you don’t have to take a shuttle. Employee are efficient.

The most important item to remember is if you are traveling as a family to make sure to separate your toiletries into different carry on or backpacks. You can only have enough to put in a small ziplock bag for each carry on or backpack. Airport security will check your bags.

I recently had the pleasure of traveling through Calgary International Airport (YYC), and I must say it was an exceptional experience. One of the standout features was the seamless YYC Link access, making it incredibly convenient to move between terminals. This efficient connectivity saved me a lot of time and effort, allowing for a stress-free transition during my layover.

The airport's array of food counters was impressive. No matter your culinary preference, there was something to satisfy every taste bud. The variety and quality of the food options exceeded my expectations, making my dining experience at the airport truly enjoyable.

This is one of my favorite airports. It's well seafood and has all the things a traveler could need without being over done like a mall (Toronto Airport 🤮)

Hit up LB Taphouse for some funky cocktails and the best beer selection in the airport.

Really good airport, easy to find your way around. Lots of self service check-in terminals for boarding cards and baggage check-in. Really good choice of eateries airside and some good local duty free drinks. Found a whisky from the Turner Valley distillery we had visited a few days earlier.

What a great airport! I flew to Las Vegas yesterday on the 3:35 flight. The staff are so nice yet strict. They have Tim Hortons!!! I bought a shirt from the shop at the entrance. They have a designated smoking section out front thank you. It was easy to maneuver around. There was an employee working around E94 and I was on her side. The customers were in the wrong and blocking the path, and weren’t following her orders. She gets an A+. Hope to be back again soon!

I have never seen airport like this. Well planned and clean. All employees are super friendly

I’m giving this a five star review solely on their golf cart shuttles! Great drivers and such a fun way to get around the airport. There was a really long line at the security checkpoint for the C gates and I was told to go through the D gate checkpoint which was a lot faster with way less people.

This is probably a reminder for me, but to remember to take out laptops and all liquids into a clear bag no more than 100ml.

A very clean airport, everything here looks incredibly new and well kept.

The airport was good, clean. Airport staff were helpful and kind. Only thing is we got coffees at Tim hortons by gate B/C. The lady couldn't even bother to say good morning or even a hi or even a smile. It felt like she's not happy being in customer service or hospitality job, but she's too good to even be kind or decent. Anyways, that's my goodbye memory from calgary, not a huge deal but disappointing because a small, kind greeting would have made such a difference.

I give the airport itself and its facilities 5 stars, super clean and efficient layout. However, the passage through security check is dismal, maybe the worst of any modern airport I've visited in the last 10-years. It's under-staffed and the security check rules are out of step with other large airports. Pretty much every bag gets moved aside for additional checks only to be declared OK and returned to the passenger. It can add 20+ minutes because of the backup it creates.

The staff is always patient and we rarely notice that. Lots of parking available. Would love to see heated access from the parking to the airport but I admit that's an exaggeration

Beautiful and clean airport! You can find good places to eat and have a good coffee while you wait for your flight. Efficient service and safe! Respectful staff also.
