The Red Thread Gift Shop - FMC

I bought First Nation designed hoodies, mugs, etched glasses and journals here (I’m Métis) while my husband was recently a patient so my Christmas shopping is almost done 😊
The hoodies are mine even though my mother REALLY wants the one she saw me wearing.
This little gift shop has so many beautiful, unique & wonderful things that I haven’t seen elsewhere and the volunteers who operate it are the sweetest people.

i was very disappointed yesterday with my visit to the gift shop in Foothills hospt main entrance. I have been a customer for years but most recent everyday since my son was hospitalized at the beginning of January 2023. I purchased a $90 sweater coat, several crystals, slippers & several other things. Yesterday’s visit made me feel like I was not important as a customer even though I was being patient & not rushing because it is always a steady flow of customers in their shop.
I walked up to the counter & let the first clerk know that I wanted to purchase a certain product (& pointed to it as the clerk would have to access it to give to me) but I also wanted to know if they had more of that product. At that time a couple approached the till & the clerk said she would be with me in a moment because she would have to look in the back & would quickly help this person first & she started to help the other customers (this I did not mind). At that time another clerk (second) approached the counter & was directed by the first clerk that I wanted to look at the other product they had & it was in the back. However, when the customer the first clerk was helping heard what I was looking for they acknowledged their interest in that product as well & asked if they had any with a certain color, both clerks literally stopped helping me & started helping the other customer (whom came to the counter after me) to look for the color he had mentioned & then sold him the product that I had told them I wanted to buy when I first came to the counter & which they only had one.
After i told both clerks what they had just done to me the first clerk mentioned about calling another store to see if they had one. I told them not to as after that experience I was just going to leave. I felt like I was treated with such rudeness as I was completely ignored & I did nothing to deserve such horrible service. I left the shop upset. And not either of the clerks apologized. I understand that they are there volunteering their time but that was no way to treat anyone.
