This place is a local favorite. Really enjoy the options. It’s the right size where you find everything you need easily. All the employees have been here for a long time. It’s got a great community feel. I usually don’t do my main shop here since I’m usually picking my kids up from school and walking home. I frequently get the breads and veggies and protein here. Great place to buy deli meat and hotdogs too. Also occasionally pick up clay over Biranyi or the samosas.

Great butchers...they recently had a sale on prime rib roast.
The price was half of what it would have cost elsewhere...and it was one of the best cuts of meat I've had in a very long time..

I frequent this location. They help people with disabilities look for items, are patient at the till and encourage positive interactions with other customers. People are super positive and helpful. It is refreshing like the fresh food they have, and glad they have sales at this time of year for produce.

Lilac Food Fare is just a great family run grocery store. I have visited two of their other locations and they are both very good but this is my go to one being only a five minute walk from where I live. It is so nice to go to a store where you are recognized as a person and not just another "number" in the queue. It certainly doesn't't have the square footage of a larger grocer but they have an adequate selection to meet my needs. Their meat is just excellent and they will go out of their way to make sure you are getting what you need. Noticed in one of the previous reviews a customer had purchased some inedible fruit. One time I bought some meat that was off (that can happen anywhere)and it was exchanged no questions asked. I highly recommend this business and if you reside anywhere near Corydon and Lilac I suggest you give it a try. You won't be disappointed! During the pandemic I email my order and they drop it off outside my door. Usually within 3 or 4 hours.

I've been cooking for more than half my life. I've bought meats and produce from costco, superstore, save on foods and every other place. But let me say... The quality and price is much.. much... Much..... Better! You won't be disappointed. Their weekly specials are insane as well! Do yourself a favor and try shopping there. Nothing better than supporting a local business that goes above and beyond. Thank you food fare family!

Great store if I need something quick for dinner or don't feel like hopping in my car. Their deli has wonderful options for cooking simple to decadent meals. Their in house seasoning for chicken breasts, thighs and legs is unreal.

This neighborhood store holds most of the daily usage groceries and veggies.,that too on reasonable price. Friendly staff plus quality n value for money is what I loved about this store.

Close to my place, and consistently better prices than Safeway or convenience stores. I feel good about getting things from them in a pinch. Still have to go elsewhere for my most groceries though, since they don't have good prices or selection on things like carrots, apples, rice, or canned tomatoes.

Great mom and pop style grocery store with a community minded feel to it. Always have awesome deals on all different types of products, and their deli counter is one of the best outside an actual butcher shop.

Be a smart shopper and check those best before dates even at the bigger grocery stores. I've shopped at this foodfare for 20 years. They don't stock everything but they try. Staff are friendly and helpful. One time I was in pain and needed to sit down and they were great about it. They also deliver. Call before Noon on a weekday. You can also shop for the stuff and have them deliver instead of lugging it home.

Its close to my place so i go there all the time for meat. They have great price's on sandwich meat's. The service is grest and they have everything you need.

A fantastic little resource right in the middle of the neighborhood. The management seem to have a strong libertarian streak, they don't seem to care about Manitoba ridiculous shopping laws.
