Young's Market (Mountain)

I highly recommend this Asian Store in Winnipeg. Pricing is fair and transparent - definitely value for money compare to other asian store and also the staff are very friendly.

Bought some roasted duck and pork for it is discounted. Kuya even gave me a free half roasted chicken. Best deal ever.

BBQ duck was juicy and tasty! Even at the end of the day when you can 15% off before closing.

I picked up a lot of great deals. They have kopiko instant coffee. It's so good.

Great variety and always busy.
Parking lot is always full but you can easily find parking on Mountain Ave.
Love their deli department, fired chicken wings and legs are super tasty. Lots of fresh veggies and fruit, lots choices of frozen fish and other frozen stuff.

If you're looking for a Filipino grocery items that you can't find at your local grocery store you'll find it here. Parking can be a bit of a pain especially when they are busy. But that's okay. It makes you feel like you're in the Philippines.

We travel across the city, for the unique groceries that can be found at Young’s. Produce and meats are fresh and there is always staff around to help. This is THE place for Asian inspired food and kitchen implements. We have never had a bad experience.

One of my favorite stores in the city! Staff are always helpful. Prices are reasonable! Limited veggie and fruit selection but what is there is good quality and well priced. Their BBQ'd pork (available at the meat counter-- cash only) is the best I've had in the city! Really cannot say enough good things! Only thing is that I wish they had a bigger parking lot. It can be a bit of a nightmare. Enjoy!

Love this store. Always buy more than you need as they have a great selection. Love that you can pre order certain items at both locations.

Great place for ethnic ingredients and good pricing on staples like rice, vegetables and noodles.

Can't find that imported ingredient? They might have it here. Like unhealthy chicken wings on the cheap but taste good (my opinion), they got it. Also an alright spot to get your cut meats for barbecue season. They also got snacks for days.. not your typical kind of snacks you're used to, and some are an acquired taste.. but there's something for everyone. Unless you're a health nut, then stay clear of the snacks.

Small and a little cramped space. But it has a lot of asian food items at very affordable prices.Plus for purchases of more than $50, you get a free item (in our case, we got 350g frozen shrimps!)

A Winnipeg staple, if you haven't been, you MUST go, the variety of selection is incredible.

Heaven to anyone looking for specific ethnically diverse spices, sauces/pastes, noodles, pre-mades & veg to satisfy those cravings.

Bottom line: selection & price are well worth the trip, atmosphere is an added bonus.

This is a Winnipeg gem. Been shopping here since I moved to The Peg. It has products & ingredients you just can’t find in other markets & it’s always an adventure. If you are looking to expand your culinary skills & want to delve into the exotic, this place is where you gotta be.
