Stopped by after visiting Peggy's Cove. We had the Lobster roll. It was very fresh and the hand cut fries were delicious. The food was very tasty and our server even told us a little bit about the history of the rappie pie, which is an old Acadian dish that is served on Sundays. Clearly a lot of passion put into the food here.

Stopped for breakfast after leaving Peggy’s Cove and surprised to be the only patrons. We were promptly greeted by Gary and had a terrific experience. I had the fish cakes and my partner had the express breakfast, both great! Homemade toast was a nice touch.

The service was very nice. The staff warm and welcoming while also gently enforcing the quarantine mandate. We had good breakfast then reserved two servings of Rappie Pie. Took them back to Port Williams and had them for supper. They were very good reheated. I can only imagine what they would be like fresh from the oven.

We returned one year later and found the place to be as warm and friendly as before. They have a really neat gift shop selection. They also have really interesting and informative historical stories on the tables. This time my daughter and I had the meat pie which was delicious. The garden salads came with a homemade salad dressing which was excellent.. Our grandson loved their homemade bread.

I've been wanting to try this restaurant for a while now. First of all, let me say this is the cleanest restaurant I've ever seen. The floors gleamed! Service was quick and friendly. I wanted to splurge, so I ordered the lobster roll which came with fries, and a glass of pinot grigio. The lobster roll was amazing. I swear they had the whole tail and some claw meat on that bun. No fillers! The wine was cold and crisp. Just to my liking. I ordered a slice of meat pie to go which I had for dinner that night. (If you had a French mom who made meat pie, don't even try to compare it because nothing ever meets those standards, LOL.) But the meat pie was very tasty and I recommend it. I could hear comments from my neighbor diners saying they were also enjoying their meals. They also had a table with nice items for sale from what I assume are local artisans.

I look forward to dining at the Café l'Acadie again!

I really enjoyed the atmosphere and food. The creamed lobster on pan fried haddock was excellent! Location and customer service was good too!! Must try if you’re in the Peggy Cove area…

Lovely little place with a diverse, sea-oriented menu with an Acadian approach. I enjoyed the fish cakes (takeout), which were absolutely delicious. They came with homemade beans and marinated carrots, which were a surprise for my tastes and quite a welcome one, too. Beautifully clean, with clear Covid protocols in place and - most importantly - followed! I had takeout but I wouldn't hesitate to go again, and their well-spaced eating areas and expansive outdoor seating give me confidence that staying to eat would also be a positive experience.

Had a lunch here and we enjoyed every bite! We ordered fish & chips, lobster roll, and fish burger- everything was delicious. However the star of the meal was the pudding cake (award winning) of course! We shall be back to try more of the desserts hopefully 🥰 thank you for the amazing meal, Toronto loves you!

What a clean (like sparkling clean) place. It felt like the place was started yesterday. Everything shines, everything is clean oohh..
I talked to few other people in the area and they said yes, the place has been forever clean for so many years, that even dirt shines there. Hats off to the owner.

Talking about the owner, very warm person. I loved the hospitality. They have amazing food. This is where we had our first meal of Nova Scotia and we were really happy with the taste, presentation, options, service and drinks.

This place sells the artwork of the local artists which was beautiful. It is a few mins away from Peggy's cove so if you are nearby do checkout. You can sit inside or in the patio. Food was little pricy (no biggie as NS food prices are on pricier side). I order a chicken sandwich, with pickled carrot on side and my husband ordery lobster sandwich. Both were delicious.

I will go again!

Creamed fish & waffle was tasty. The fish and seafood chowders were also excellent. Potato pancakes were super great.

You learn the history of Acadia through the many unique Acadian dishes. Look for the Acadian flag (French with an added star) on the menu and try everyone of them.

We stopped in for a late lunch-early dinner and this became our go to spot for authentic, quality food in the Peggy’s Cove area. First day we had the fish and chips, crispy batter over haddock, plus we tried the maple bread pudding.. delicious. Next day we opted for the seafood chowder, generous portions with fresh biscuits, also delicious! The molasses spice cake with lemon cream was also a winner. Great service, highly recommend!

Delicious meal. I would say this restaurant is the best in Nova Scotia for a lactose free dinner. The menu clearly defines what items are for lactose intolerant individuals.

The softest butteriest biscuits I’ve ever eaten! We had the creamed haddock, seafood chowder, fish chowder, and fish cakes. Everything was delicious, we loved the little info on Acadian cuisine on the placemats. Very friendly waitress, cute little restaurant. 100% would recommend for lunch. Would come again!

Recently brought a friend from Puerto Rico to the restaurant for a meal. He was unfamiliar with North Atlantic seafood, and it was his first time in Nova Scotia. We had the pan fried haddock with the creamed lobster sauce...........portions were generous....it was utterly delicious, service was warm and efficient, and my friend raved about the food.........which is, as always my experience too!
