Bubba Magoos & BISTRO

A must try!! The Bistro at Bubba Magoos is run by a mother and son team and I highly recommend it. My husband and I stopped in for some lunch while at Peggy’s Cove and it was so delicious.
We had the Lobster Mac & Cheese & Green Salad, along with the Halibut Chowder, a Cheddar Biscuit, and a piece of Halibut. Yes it was a lot for two people but everything was incredibly good!
The Mac n cheese was rich, creamy and cheesy. The chowder was thick and tasty and the halibut was light and flaky.

Just finished eating here and I am blown away. The food was AMAZING. The service was incredible. Everything about this place enhanced our first trip to Nova Scotia. Highly recommend the donair fries and the lobster mac. We will definitely be returning!

What an amazing experience. The blend of flavours were amazing. We were a group of 4 and ordered almost everything on the menu and shared our meals. We enjoyed everything, especially the lemon dessert!

Beautiful dining room with ocean views. Delicious food and fancy iced coffees! A very nice surprise in this beautiful coastal town.

This Bistro was a great dining experience . Not only was the food delicious,but the atmosphere and hospitality was amazing . We dined on the patio overlooking the wharf and Peggy's Lighthouse.
Had it not been a sunny warm day ,we would have loved to be inside which had a beautiful loft and such an elegant ambience to it.
Highly recommended this Bistro as you will not be disappointed .

We came here for lunch on a rainy afternoon and it was amazing! We sat at the table on the top floor which had a lovely view. We got the halibut chowder, lobster mac and cheese and the chilli. All of us really enjoyed our meals. The portions were generous and they were presented beautifully. The owner served us and she was so friendly and accommodating, we loved chatting with her. Overall a great experience!

Beautiful new modern restaurant. The views were like a painting out of every window with a nice shady patio out back. The drinks were cold and crisp and the food was hot and fresh. The fish and chips were delicious, meaty and flaky, fries crisp outside and soft inside everything served hot and fresh! Our waiter, Ben, was very nice and attentive but left us to eat in peace and enjoy each other's company. He was fantastic! The menu was small but had a lot of variety to suit anyone, same with the drinks. The non-alcoholic options were great and didn't make you feel like a kid ordering juice. And we got a sample of fudge after the meal! Loved it so much we went down and bought some to take home.

To get into the restaurant, you have to walk up the stairs on the left. The inside is very beautiful, with a main level that has a few tables and a bar, and a staircase that goes to a second floor loft with a couple smaller tables and a big family table. We shared the Fish & Chips, the brownie and the daily special which was the blueberry pie. The fish and chips came with 2 pieces of fish, the fish was well seasoned and fresh with a crispy thin batter. The fries had the most satisfying crunch to them and were not too salty. The brownie was hard on the outside and included a scoop of vanilla ice cream and chocolate drizzle, and it was big enough for 4 people to share. The blueberry pie was a burst of flavour, it almost tasted like a crumbly blueberry cheesecake, not my personal favorite but equally delicious. We enjoyed the service and the server shared a lot of information on the history of the area with us, which was lovely. If you come here, make sure to take a photo on the green chair next to the mini lighthouse, and go into the gift shop for souvenirs and sweets.

The food is spectacular. Service excellent. Will definitely be back. Lemon cake was so light and airy.

A wonderful experience! Lunch was absolutely delicious - clearly made using fresh ingredients, and the portions were generous. The service couldn't have been better and everyone was so friendly. The shop is lovely as well - make sure to buy some of the preserves, you won't regret it!

The food was absolutely delicious! We were a group of 4 visiting from Toronto for the long weekend. Highly recommend stopping by Bubba Magoos for a meal.
We had the Halibut Chowder, Cluck cluck sandwich, stix and rings combo, chilli and nachos. We were mind blown with how fresh and tasty the food was. We grabbed iced latte to go and their drinks taste better than Starbucks!!!
The staff was extremely kind! There is also a cute gift shop attached.

We went to the Bistro upstairs and the food was great. My wife had the Donaire fries and I had the Halibut chowder. Both were amazing. We then headed downstairs and had a moon mist ice cream which was so good. Service was friendly and we enjoyed our meal. Made Peggy's cove that much better.

We stopped by Bubba Magoos to grab some food before heading into Peggy’s Cove. There are two levels, on the bottom is an option for take-out, and at the top of the stairs the entrance for in-door dining.

We absolutely loved this place. Atmosphere was modern, well designed, and extremely clean. Our waiter was amazing. Quick, very friendly, kind and frequently made rounds to make sure we had everything we needed.

Now onto the food.. absolutely loved it! Ended up with the chicken and waffles, and it was incredibly tasty. The dish was well prepared, well portioned, and incredibly flavourful. Quite enjoyed the selection of drinks that were available to accompany it too. Quality was excellent, and the price was very reasonable.

Thanks again to our waiter for taking the time to recommend some areas to check out, and to him and the rest of the staff for an excellent experience. we’d dine here again in a heart beat.

Extremely friendly staff. We sat outside for lunch and the view/food was amazing! Would highly recommend this place if you’re in the area ! 5 star all the way!

Little hidden gem with delicious treats, like the world's best fries and ice cream. Honestly, we had some of the best fries we ever tasted in our life. Topped up with great ice cream inside a homemade waffle cone. Alongside these tasty treats you can shop some very cute little souvenirs in the cozy gift shop.

The shop is adorable with great treats and ice cream plus souvenirs. Then we went upstairs and we’re surprised how beautifully modern the resto bar is. We enjoyed an ice coffee on the back terrace. Great service. The menu looked delish but we didn’t eat there. . Worth a visit both upstairs and at the main local store. .

Excellent chowder, great views, and super nice owner. Will happily come back with the family! Oh, and fudge is dangerously good too :-)

Stopped here while at Peggy's Cove. Big purple building. Gift shop and Bistro. Both are fantastic. Our server Ben was wonderful and the food was delicious.

The food was excellent and beyond any expectation that me and my girlfriend had for our first meal in Nova Scotia,Janice was extremely nice and made us feel welcome. Will definitely be back for our next trip from Ontario

Very nice interior, great staff, service a bit slow, but food is worth the wait. Also didn’t have lobster rolls but otherwise would definitely visit again!
