This place is great. It is very quiet and you have awesome views of the sea. The jacuzzi on top of the rock is amazing. The hosts are great, they were available when we needed them, and were very concerned about making sure we were comfortable. Will definitely be back next time we visit Galiano!

We stayed here for our anniversary in December 2019 and it was amazing. We're still talking about how wonderful it was. One of our best anniversaries in 9 years. Luannah and Juan were lovely hosts and they went way out of their way to make our stay perfect. They knew it was our anniversary and that we were staying with them specifically for the hot tub by the sea and when the hot tub had issues that day Luannah spent the whole day running around the island to find someone to fix the tub in time for our visit. The property is breathtaking and the suites are all gorgeous. The suites are uniquely built to suit the land. They are spacious and clean and warm and inviting and calming and relaxing and just wow. Luannah and Juan have worked very hard to restore the natural beauty of the land and it shows. We cannot recommend this space highly enough. We just booked our 9th anniversary getaway in Toronto and even though the spot we're renting here seems great, a part of us is wishing we were at Serenity again.

I came here in November to unwind after a very busy fall. The breakfasts were amazing, the environment was tranquil - exactly what I needed. I stayed in the Chalet and it was very hard to get out of bed, it was so serene and peaceful. I didn’t get the opportunity to soak in the hot tub, but the view from up there was amazing so might have to go back to experience that. I also got some Hawaiian style treatments from Luannah and felt very mentally organized and balanced after my experience. A solid treat, I totally recommend the experience.

I had the most amazing experience at Serenity by the Sea with Luannah. The space she has created is truly magical. As soon as I took a step into her healing cottage I knew I was in a place filled with Love. The entire property is enveloped by natural beauty of lush forest and the gentle sound of the creek. It's no wonder it is called SERENITY by the Sea.

I had been here many years ago when Shera and her partner owned it. I loved it at that time, the ocean views, the eagles flying overhead and the land always held a special place in my heart. Now that Luannah and her husband Juan have taken it over they have added an additional layer of love and caring.

My sessions with Luannah in her cottage were life changing. She is Divinely guided with her gentle, authentic and powerful energy and has extensive training, experience and knowledge with numerous modalities. When I arrived the first day we had an open, meaningful discussion, she listened intently and was guided as we chatted. She has a very special gift of knowing just the right timing and the correct treatment that my body and soul were calling for. I spent 3 days with her and could have stayed for a week. Luannah shared her special gifts of sound healing, Lomi Lomi and deep love of nature, connecting in at all levels.
I appreciate the resources she also shared with me from her own teachers. These tools I will use for a lifetime.

On my final day, I told her now I know what Heaven is like, I went to the most beautiful, peaceful place during out treatment and she told me, “heaven on earth is a frequency we can tap into anytime, anywhere as it is an eternal omnipresent frequency". I feel very blessed to have spent time with her and am very pleased to say I did embrace Heaven on Earth at Serenity by the Sea. I encourage everyone to experience this truly beautiful place on Galiano Island. I will be back again very soon.

I went to Serenity by the Sea for a retreat and i loved it. The property is magical with its rough terrains, beautiful view, zen gardens and the ocean right beneath your feet. The room i stayed in was very clean and well taken care of. The breakfast was delicious! Luannah, you are a beautiful human being and have brought a lot of gratitude to my life. The retreat was customized for what i wanted and i enjoyed every second of it. Your massages were world class and everything else you did for me will change things around for me. If you are looking for kindness, love and gratitude, please visit this place and take in all that it has to offer. Be open minded about the amazing possibilities and you will not be disappointed. I had the best time here. The hosts are wonderful people. They welcomed me into their beautiful home with open arms and went out of their way to make my stay as comfortable as possible. They even invited me to dine with them over Juan's delicious home-cooked Ceviche. I had a massage session with Luannah and it was no less than magical.
I stayed at Windsail which is a part of the main house. I would sleep under the stars listening to sound of the waves. It was absolute bliss. A perfect place to unwind. Serene in its truest sense. Couldn't have asked for a better getaway.

Stunning 🤩 we had a marvellous break away from Vancouver to this isolated beautiful little treasure of a chalet.
Our honeymoon was fabulous due to nature, surrounding outdoor trails and minimal contact with computers/technology. So lovely to chill out and reflect after our wedding on August 15, 2021. Thanks so much for a peaceful, relaxing retreat surrounded by a tranquil natural environment.

I highly recommend Serenity by the Sea and plan on returning. Two nights here is the absolute minimum because you will want to stay longer. Luanna and Juan are incredibly welcoming and have put so much work into the absolutely amazing propery. They have wonderful attention to detail and have made it a very tranquil and beautiful space, whether it be the jacuzzi perched on an ocean lookout or the waterfalls flowing alongside the property. The entire suite is very comfortable and well equipped so if you enjoy waking up looking at the ocean, this place is for you!

Serenity by the Sea is paradise! A short ferry ride from Tsawwassen and it's right on the water! Hosts are very friendly and accommodating. Nothing beats being sitting at the living room seeing and hearing the ocean. When we were there we also spotted sea lions and LOTS of starfish :)
And make time to visit Luannah's healing studio to get one of her wonderful massages! Highly recommended and will definitely go back to try their new jacuzzi!

Luannah is an energy healer with her own massage business on site. She was very thorough in her consultation and gave my hiking body exactly what it needed. The recently added jacuzzi overlooking the ocean was a delight after the massage. I spent the weekend enjoying the view from the Windsail room, listening to the chatter of ravens, reading my book, exploring the gorgeous grounds, and having incredible conversations with the ever friendly Juan and Luannah (oh, and Jeremiah the cat!).

I would highly recommend this piece of paradise for anyone who needs some time away from the city, a romantic getaway, or quite simply a self-love holiday.

Serenity by the Sea was a magical, alchemical, and transformative experience for myself. I loved being there with my boyfriend and feeling serenity! It's warm lighting at a night arrival, thoughtful house furnishings to make your stay luxuriously homey and dreamy with its lofty balconies in high ceiling rooms, tall forest & ocean views with the sun rising into the "Sunrise Suite." I enjoyed being childish: running a warm bath at midnight, setting up a fire and getting cozy with drinks, taking a stroll around the many gardens, admiring the winding paths, the waterfalls, the jacuzzi overlooking the ocean, and the hospitality of the caretakers! I highly recommend you make Serenity by the Sea your choice for a get away!

We just spent the weekend here for our ten year anniversary. Absolutely loved it. Beautiful scenery. Quiet and peaceful. Wonderful place to connect with nature and find what you may have lost. Nothing but positive energy here. Luannah is amazing! Highly recommend a massage. Healing and magical. Can’t say enough good things about this place.

I spent the weekend here and it was absolutely magical! The views of the water and surrounding islands, the magnificent trees all around and the sweet spot of the jacuzzi on top of a rock with breathtaking views. It was a weekend of absolute rest and rejuvenation, thank you Luannah for providing a magical place to enjoy!!! I also highly recommend booking a session with Luannah, felt like an upgraded version after the treatment! I’ll be back!!

What a gorgeous location and the communication via text message before arriving was very clear and informative. My questions via text message were answered immediately during our stay. Completing payment for our stay was easily made via e-transfer. The place was so comfortable and peaceful. Everything was available including distilled water in the fridge, a full spice rack on the counter, all utensils that we needed. There were information cards that explained what was expected of guests. It was a very easy place to find, and we felt so taken care of. I want to go back!!!

My girlfriend and I just spent the weekend here and had an amazing time.. beautiful spot on the ocean with jacuzzi on a cliff above the property, we literally just came down from it after going for two epic hikes earlyer in the day,
Luannah was incredibly nice and really cares about guests and quality of service. I didn’t want to write a review so we could keep this place to our selves.. lol.. it’s a fantastic peaceful place that we will be coming back to 100%. Thank you so much again.

Humble and full-of-warmth, both the hosts and the retreat offered more than just a place to sleep, they showed us love and beauty from the heart of the island.

All rooms/suites have the most spectacular view (entire property had been designed by previous owner and built from wood of fallen trees). Breakfast was amazing, both taste and variety. They also have the most lovable dog, Tashi, that makes everyone’s day that much better. Definitely would love to come back!

It was like walking into a part of art...surrounded by nature with such calming energy. I randomly came here because there was massage services but instead I was left with a feeling of spiritual acknowledgement and awakening. Louanne is such a beautiful soul not only does she give amazing massages but she opened my eyes in so many ways. I am so grateful that we crossed paths and I am definitely coming back for more of her healing retreats.

Serenity By the Sea is a "magic"place---you are right BY the sea and engulfed by the forest all at once---- a place to "let go",relax and heal from the hustle of every day life. Miss Luannah was my wonderful hostess----she also provides terrific healing sessions and fantastic relaxing massages if you so desire.

As a 24-year-old male along with my girlfriend, we recently had the pleasure of staying at Serenity by the Sea, and I have to say that it was an amazing experience. The first thing that caught my attention was the stunning view from our room. It was truly breathtaking, and we could see the sea from our room. The privacy of the property was also a huge plus - we felt like we were in our own little world.

The service provided by Luannah (the owner) was exceptional. She was always available and willing to help with anything we needed. She went above and beyond to ensure that we had a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

My girlfriend was particularly impressed with the massage she received. She said it was one of the best she's ever had and well worth the price. We also enjoyed being able to cook our own meals in the kitchenette, which was well-equipped and had everything we needed. It was a nice touch that helped us save some money while enjoying a home-cooked meal.

In the evenings, we enjoyed soaking in the bubble bath and watching movies on the Roku TV. The view from the room was unbeatable, and it was a great way to end each day.

Overall, I would highly recommend Serenity by the Sea to anyone looking for a peaceful, relaxing getaway. The view, privacy, and exceptional service provided by Luannah make it a truly memorable experience. I will be booking this location again to try the summer months out.
