Moby's Pub

We found this amazing pub while visiting Salt Spring Island and it was truly worth the stop. The food was amazing as was their beer selections. I had the Coho Salmon Burger with Fries with a Philips Reverb West Coast IPA. The staff was amazing, attentive and so helpful in my pursuit of the size I wanted in purchasing one of their t-shirts. I would definitely visit again next time we travel to the west coast.

There was a wait to get in which was a good sign! We were seated at one of the best tables for a view and then proceeded to have excellent service and food. There were chicken kimchi gyozas on special and I ordered those. The server thought there would be five but when it arrived I got seven. Bonus!!

Plus they have Tesla destination charger for free, as well as another public charger.

I suspect someone from their staff saw my Tesla parked while I was inside asking for the charger to be turned on, so they thought I was just parking without charging. I didn’t feel bad about the note left in my window as I would’ve done the same thing, but it was just a misunderstanding.

My top two choices in beer were out, but our waitress recommended a fantastic substitute (blood alley bitter) -like an amber.

The view is unreadable stoning on the top deck.

We were a bit hungry after whale watching, and our waitress again recommended another great choice- an off menu item- skinny fries with truffle mayo for only $6.

My wife loved the SSI albacore tuna bowl and absolutely loved it.
I had the 18-hour BBQ brisket, and it was delicious.

Unfortunately, we didn't do our research and didn't know that they had live entertainment and dancing!!!!!

We had the pleasure of lunch on the deck for my husband’s birthday today, April 20th. The food and service was fantastic as usual. The moment that made our day however, was our server arranging herself and a bunch of her colleagues to come out with the cake and sing happy birthday! The myriad of expressions that crossed over my husband’s face ending in joy and laughter was absolutely priceless. Thank you all for making the day extra special. What a great experience.

Great meal and service. I had the Tuna Bowl, it’s an Asian style poke dish which tasted wonderful and very filling. I had an Ukrainian donkey ( Moscow Mule), very light, refreshing drink made with Vodka, ginger beer and lime. This will be a favourite from now on. Mmmmmmm good. Meal and beverage was $32.00 plus tip. What I would expect to pay for dinner.
Although there were Gluten Free options, many more dishes could have very minor adjustments for those patrons to have more choices. It’s approximately 1/5 of people that have these restrictions.

We had an amazing dinner here in August. I love their buck a duck, we were so lucky to visit here on Monday. The chowder was really great as well, loaded with a full bowl of seafoods. Their frozen cocktails were delicious, and it’s very creative! The steak and the brisket were fair, because the ducks were way too wonderful. Lol
We will definitely come back again if we have chance to visit SSI! I m highly recommend this restaurant, this is a must visit place.

Super friendly staff, the heaters and blankets for the patio were a great touch! Very accommodating to order modifications and tasty food. I highly recommend the Bellini's or Margheritas! The live music on the deck was great!

Obviously a popular place with locals. The food was high quality, very filling, and worth what we paid for it. We arrived at opening time, and it took 30 minutes for our food to arrive, so might not be the best place if you’re in a hurry. Overall good experience.

This was a random lunch stop after the ferry that we were so happy to have found. A diverse original menu with daily specials and local brews had us promising ourselves to stop in when we catch the ferry out. The duck wings were superb and the calamari perfectly cooked. So fresh! Might have found my summer beer in the White Rabbit Radler. So much to choose from with a lovely cove view.

Great little marine pub at Ganges. Right on the water, had great live music on the patio, tasty calamari and a California chicken club sandwich, dished up with excellent service from the nicest and friendliest server, Lexxie.
Dale, if you are reading this, she deserves a raise for doing such a good job.
Great spot to stop and loiter over a fresh bite and a cold drink. 5 stars.

Moby's is great. We love the local Sunday Sessions live music open mic. It's always great to hear local musicians.

A great stop while visiting Salt Spring Island for great service, food and atmosphere. The locals gather here all the time. You won't go wrong choosing Moby's for a pint or two either.

Views from the head of Ganges Inlet and half mile walk from village and same up hill to Upper Ganges, hospital and Country Grocer Shopping Village.

We went on Tuesday, which was hamburger and beer combo night. Great deal for a truly delicious burger and your choice of draft beer (or cider). Great view, relaxed vibe, friendly service... We'll be back!

The food is good. The atmosphere is inviting and the people whom work here are absolutely great! Wednesdays is Music Bingo. Highly recommend Music Bingo!

Great place for an afternoon meal. I had the chicken salad, very good. We were here in May (not the busy time). Great service (thanks Karla). 10 /10 would visit again.

We had the duck wings and chicken wings. The duck wings were so good that we came back the next day. The beer was great too. We will definitely be back again on our next visit to Salt Spring Island.
