Café La Maison Smith Belvédère

This is one of my favorite place of café Smith. The interior was pretty, the smoothies really good, and also the almond croissant. I love their maple coffee latte, perfect for the fall season.
I recommend this place.

Well located, they have a cute spot in town. They definitely have one of the best croissant in Quebec City and their staff is friendly and helpful. Great terrasse to enjoy your coffee while you enjoy your pastry.

It was my first time to this coffee shop yesterday with a friend. I am a new comer to Québec City; back home I had my favourite coffee shop that I use to hang out and work with friends. Café La Maison Smith reminded me of my place there and I am glad that I found it to be my place here. The staff are super friendly and very helpful and resourceful. I am allergic to gluten and with lactose intolerance and I was able to find more than one choice for me with the help of the super friendly server, sorry did not catch his name! I highly recommend this place.

Smith is a coffee chain for people who prefer/want a dark roast (= strong predictable taste) instead of a Third Wave (= coffee exploration). The coffee here taste better than at THE big American coffee chain: S**ks. I normally order filter coffee (“velouté” has more flavour) or a latte-based drink and avoid espresso (can be brutal to your internal plumbing). If you ask for your milk to be warm in your latte (instead of burning hot) then this is the closest you’ll get to a good “Italian coffee” - I don’t know any other place in Quebec where you can get that. This café is my favorite among the four Smith’s I’ve tried, probably because of the atmosphere and the terrace (yes, coffee tastes better on a terrace!) For a coffee chain, it’s a 5-star.

Very cool little cafe. Although my French is pretty atrocious, the woman working did her best to communicate with me and we bought delicious lattes and a bag of coffee.
