Great place in the old city. Get the maple and pepper chips; you will want a large. They are soooo good. It’s the perfect sweet, salty, crunchy bite. I took some to go and kept them to snack on. The sugar shack poutine was disappointing. The flavor was good, but the cheese wasn’t melted. The burger and vegan burger were great. The local buns were delicious. Service was good. We had a great spot looking out into the city.

The best poutine we had in Quebec City! Their homemade sodas are great too (tried raspberry and cola). 10/10 would definitely come back.

This is on the “Gotta Eat Here” list had to check it out and yes you gotta eat here! The burger and fries were so delicious. I suggest getting a combo to try both chips and fries. We ordered a medium fries and it was huge. Our cocktails were very tasty too. A very bright busy restaurant be prepared for a wait but the wait is worth it they don’t take reservations.

We were greeted by several friendly staff members and seated fairly quick. We ordered the laforestier poutine and it was amazing! It was made in the traditional fashion with potato chunks rather than fries and it made a big difference. The pieces stay crisp and don't get soggy like fries do. The mushrooms blended with everything. It was a totally satisfying experience.

I came in on a random weekday night, the place was empty. The restaurant has a nice seating section, very clean, and the people were super friendly.

I got the classic poutine and a burger along with one of their house made sodas. Honestly the poutine was disappointing.. the soda was alright, but the burger definitely was good.

Such an amazing experience! The wait staff was so accommodating and didn’t flinch at our large party. The food was eye rolling good, the hand-cut fries had amazing flavour, and the restaurant-made drinks were super. I would give six stars if I could!

Found it searching for "You Gotta Eat Here" and they weren't wrong! Located within the old part of Quebec City, we had a seat looking out the open windows with a cool breeze and listening to a nearby street performer singing greatest hits and entertaining the crowd.

I had the Le Robuste bison patty burger and a Salted Maple Caramel milkshake, my wife had Le Chiquito burger and Iced Tea, and we split a large Maple and Pepper Chips. Flame grilled, cooked to perfection, dressed to the nines both burgers were very tasty and satisfying. The chips were sweet and peppery with the maple syrup and pepper and the portion of chips was large indeed. We didn't even have room for dessert after.

Serving staff were very friendly and had a sense of humour. Overall, an excellent meal and an excellent time!

Stopped in for breakfast although they are known for their poutine and burgers. Waitress was very friendly and sat us down quickly. Food was great. We had the French toast which according to my wife and kids was the very best they ever had. Also had the breakfast poutine and L’american breakfast plate. Food came out quickly and the cook/chef came out to talk to the customers to check if they were enjoying their meals. Perhaps he is the manager or owner but either way a friendly guy who made sure everything was good and guests at the door when they arrived waiting to be seated. We will definitely return again when back in town

Budget friendly-good-eat place at the center of old quebec. They have their own drinks which tastes good. Their burger is different and tastes great! Vibe is chill. Service is wonderful. Place is clean. Has a bathroom. They have high chairs. Accepts credit and debit. No parking space.

We really enjoyed stopping by this place! We came specifically because they offer several vegetarian options and unique poutine flavors. La Masala and La Forestière were fantastic! I highly recommend either of those options. La Végan was disappointing, though. It was pretty much just tomato sauce and potatoes. Besides that, the service was friendly, the location/view were incredible, and the staff spoke English. If you’re seeking some unique poutine and great people watching, this is the perfect spot!

It was an extremely great experience to have been served at this restaurant. I ordered the small side of the original poutine and it was the best poutine ever!! It was not salty, the sauce had great flavour and what looked like it was home fries were crispy on the outside and soft in the inside, and last but not least the cheese curds had an amazing chewiness while biting them and made the taste of the poutine more savoury. I also had the chic burger and it was amazing, with the brioche bun. My wife had the venison hamburger and she loved it. Did not have a beer but had the 70% dark chocolate milkshake and it was to die for!! Extremely recommend it!!

One of the best poutine I have had, after Builder Burger in Ottawa. The elk burger was great too! Along with the milk shakes and the flavored soda. Will recommend this place any time. There is no reservation, first come first serve with friendly bilingual staff.

Perfect spot for a quick lunch when in the upper city. Close to the Chateau. Fresh, local ingredients create amazing American favorites (burgers, fries, soda, and milkshakes). Bilingual staff and menus. Clean bathrooms.

Decently priced and extremely tasty. Get the maple pepper fries and don’t skimp on the size of your poutine. Tried the roast beef poutine and the mushroom poutine and both were delicious and extremely filling. Had a bit of a wait during the dinner rush but nothing unexpected for the quality of food you’re getting here.
