Let me start by saying WOWWWW!
Hands down the best church I have ever been to.
Just gaze and ponder over the marvel, the beauty of this amazing ornate cathedral.

Very peaceful and serene ambience both inside and out. This church built in 1660s is an epitome of the architecture and religious artwork. The carvings, paintings and stained windows are so picturesque and speak for themselves about the history of the church.

No entry fee. If you get a chance then do sit for the prayer. It's very meditative. Amidst its grandeur, you can find a peaceful haven for introspection and connection by sitting through the prayer.

Beautiful basilica that you must visit if you are in Quebec (even though there are lots of churches in Quebec). This cathedral had significant historical importance and if well worth a visit.

Gorgeous cathedral and free to access (unlike Notre Dame in Montreal where there is an entry fee of 18 CAD) with the lines you normally find in more northern European cathedrals as opposed of the Portuguese or some Spanish cathedrals for example.

I liked it's simplicity with only some golden adornments around the altar area besides the usual stained glass typically found here.

Quiet, despite being located in the busy part of the old Quebec town and just beautiful.

Spectacular reredos behind the altar. Very impressive light from the Christ. Interesting place to visit and helped by the explanations given if you follow the QR links. Don't miss the Holy Door in a chapel to the left only 7 in the world. Pilgrims pass through on special days. The gross in behind the momument to saint de la Val is very special.

This ornate cathedral is a must see in Quebec City. The gold plated statues give one the impression of Christ rising to heaven. Do a self guided tour at the bare minimum, and if you can, sit through a church service to get a true feel for it’s history.

This is a beautiful church and is located just near Chateau Frontenac. This church is peaceful and serene. The moment you enter you are welcomed by this golden glow structure.
There is no entrance fee. We went here on a weekday and there were only few tourists inside which was a plus point.

Visit on Sunday December 10,2023. Notre-Dame de Quebec Cathedral Basilica, built in the 1660's is a lovely place to visit and take in the beautiful architectural features and religious artwork. This, the oldest church in Canada, celebrated its 350th anniversary in 2014. Mobility impaired accessible entrance. Check for opening times and avoid any times which may have a service.

My wife and I had decided to stay one more night at Quebec to attend the Sunday mass. It was the best decision we've made during our travel through the Eastern Canada. The only thing I would complain is that even though I've checked that it was supposed to be an English mass at 9:30, the whole ceremony was performed in French only.

This architectural masterpiece is home to the first Catholic parish north of the Spanish colonies. No entry fee, gorgeous inside. Be mindful they’re building a ramp to access the holy door, which as of right now is blocked, you can’t get too close to it.

The architecture that make you wonder the limitation of human beings’s creativity and imagination, every single details remind you of the devotion and perfection. And it’s free entry too, there’s small museum on the introduction of the creator of the cathedral.

This was the best “attraction” I visited in Quebec City. It was definitely worth the uphill walk! It is completely free for everyone to go inside. This was an amazing experience. It truly felt euphoric and serene being in such a beautiful church. A wedding in this church would be an out of this world experience. This is a must see.

Breathtaking church! Everything inside is so well thought out and elaborate. The holy door was very cool to see (inside on the left-hand side if you are facing the front).

Beautiful architecture - a must see historical stop. Well done balance between taking care of the tourist and maintaining the sanctity of the church.
