I can say enough good things about Cold Lake!! The town is great, the beaches are nice!! The lake itself is gorgeous! Crystal clear, clean and refreshing water! It's HUGE is size. Alberta lakes have a reputation for being trash, most of them are ... but Cold Lake is in a category of its own! Absolutely beautiful! I genuinely can't say enough good things about this place!! 5 stars!!

Highly recommend taking a stroll out at the provincial park. Whether you’re a local or from out of town it’s always an excellent place to visit. If a couple hours of casual hiking are what you seek you’ll find it here, if not, the. Enjoy the day use area and beach. It’s perfect for everyone!

My son and I fished here for two days. I can't believe how healthy this lake is. The campground is clean and well managed. Alberta Parks is doing a great job. I should mention that the boat launch is in great shape and easy to use.

Great scenery. Most of the campsites are nice and big. The sites are spread out from each other so you aren't right on top of your neighbors. Showers are a bit far away from most loops so keep that in mind when booking. The only washrooms in the loops are outhouses - some people can't handle that, but I don't think it bothers most campers.

Tent camped there on 7/7/2023. Did not stay at a tent site because you couldn't park your bike at the site. Booked a normal site. Great place to camp, sites are a good size, very quiet and the showers were clean. Staff was extremely friendly.

Great campground with large lots and hookups. Plenty of sites that require a reservation in summer.

Aug 21/22 - Site B31 is absolutely an amazing spacious spot with a cool roomy gathering area surrounded by dense trees with fire pit for larger groups. Utilities (water/30amp) in front of site, the AC power's tripping with extension cord, so bring 30 amp extension to be able to move unit to the back. That group area is away from trailer and further back at the left with easy access to Site B32. [Photo pending].
Question: Weather hot and water flat calm last three days but interestingly there's been zero mosquitos, yellow jackets or bees, few moths... Completely weird... any thoughts why?

Pretty park with a nice playground and beach. I had a picnic here on the beach and it was lovely. The trails appear to be well maintained, but I didn't go far beyond the day use area.

The sites are really clean, and very private. The A loop is a little tight for travel trailers, and backing in to the sites was challenge... For everyone that I have seen so far.
This is a really beautiful place, far enough away from City lights that the night sky is a pleasure to look at.
Lots of trails, and the lake is great too.
There are few beaches nearby, some have boat rentals as well.
The city/town of Cold Lake is not too far away, so if you forgot something...
Looking forward to coming again.

Beautiful spot, with views of the lake and excellent birding. Our site was quite private, cool, and spacious. Running water at the sites was a pleasant surprise. The trails through the park are lovely. Unfortunately, the lake level is quite high this year, so there is no beach at the park to speak of, and some of the trail is submerged. It's a 15-minute drive to town where the beach is excellent.

Only 5 minutes from town but feels like you are in the middle of no where. Always clean hiking trails.
